Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement individual and small group therapeutic play sessions based on identified needs
- Conduct basic assessment and contribute to case formulation, with guidance where needed
- Support intervention planning using play-based approaches
- Adapt play sessions for children with: Emotional and behavioural needs, Developmental differences, Emerging medical-related anxieties
- Provide basic feedback and strategies to caregivers
- Maintain accurate and timely session records
- Implement existing therapeutic play programmes
Requirements:
- Degree in Psychology / Counselling / Social Work / Early Childhood or related field
- Formal or in-progress training in play therapy / therapeutic play
- Typically 1–3 years of relevant experience working with children
- Warm, patient, and able to build rapport with children
- Developing skills in empathy, attunement, and observation
- Willingness to learn and receive feedback
- Basic understanding of how children communicate through play
- Able to work collaboratively within a team
