Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Managing incoming and outgoing letters

- Be the representative for accounting and finance queries within the office.

- Liaising with HQ and Accounts Dept.

- Preparation of Accounting information (training will be given)

- Assist in co-ordinating meetings and calling of quotations

- General Office administration duties (eg. filings etc.)

- Verify and reconcile daily transactions from all revenue-generating departments, including rooms, food and beverage and banquet.

- Review and verify Night Auditors logbook, daily revenue report and daily Food & Beverage report with supporting vouchers and trial balance.

- Review and reconcile the guest ledger, city ledger and credit card to the Accounts Receivable.

- Review the interface between Point of Sale (POS) systems and Hotel Management Systems ensuring that revenue data flows accurately and seamlessly between the systems.

- Review of daily no show and cancellation report and ensure that no show and cancellation revenue have been properly accounted for.

- Examine daily reports for paid outs, rebates, adjustments, house use, and complimentary rooms to ensure that each transaction is supported by relevant documentation and approved by the appropriate authorized personnel.

- Review daily Food & Beverage void and discount reports to ensure all entries are accurately documented and supported by appropriate justification.

- Responsible for conducting monthly surprise cash count at Front Office and F&B outlets.

- Ensure the foreign currency exchange rates are updated regularly and to check on the accuracy of such rates.

· Tactical sourcing for food and non-food categories related items

· Ongoing assessment, strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management

· Drive purchasing needs within all the departments and manage communication by giving procurement updates weekly

· Identify Cost Control Strategies

· Monthly Purchasing Reports

· Conduct Physical Inventory Counts at various locations within the company

· Examine and analyze inventory levels to ensure they match the records in the company database

· Detect discrepancies or errors in inventory records and report to management

· Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and take necessary action to address it

· Collaborate with team members to share inventory audit findings and proposed solutions

· Create reports on inventory levels and communicate findings to management

- Any other duties / tasks as requested by management.

Requirements

• 8+ years of project management experience within banking, fintech or financial services
• Excellent stakeholder management, coordination, and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business teams.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are a plus with Experience in Agile/Scrum environment and framework, e.g. sprint planning, sprint review, backlog grooming, etc.
• Strong expertise in managing technology obsolescence projects and modernizing legacy banking systems.
• Proven ability to develop business cases and articulate the strategic impact of technology projects.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to pitch ideas clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Experienced of having direct responsibility for project with budget size of $10 to $20 million.
• Exposure to Lean/Six Sigma or process re-engineering.
• Familiar with change management processes and project management fundamentals.
• Experience in full end-to-end project management in a lead role.
• Understanding of technology and operational processes across functions in the bank.

Technical domain expertise is an advantage, but at minimum is tech-savvy.

Education:

·         Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or related field.

·         Relevant experience preferably in a Finance Institution.

Job Summary

The Manager, Finance & Investments will support the Club’s Senior Management and Management Team. The incumbent provides supervision to all finance and accounting functions within the Club. This includes day to day accounting operations, financial closing and statutory reporting, treasury operations, cash management and variance analyses. In addition, the incumbent manages the investments of the Club and is accountable for monitoring the investment portfolios. The incumbent is also responsible for seeking continuous improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team. This position will report to Director, Corporate & Governance (DCG).

Key Responsibilities

1) Financial & Management Accounting

• Supervise Finance Team to ensure full set of accounts are properly maintained and timely month-end closing of accounts;

• Plan, prepare and submit timely & accurate financial statements, analyse financial performance and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports including variance analysis reporting;

• Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortised, and disposed of as appropriate;

• Ensure compliance with all local accounting, tax and statutory requirements, prepare statutory reports, liaise with auditors, etc;

• Develop and implement goals, policies, priorities and procedures relating to financial management and accounting;

• Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and accounting policies

2) Annual Budget and Business Plan

• Work proactively with respective business units and all departments in the preparation of annual budget and business plans;

• Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation and prepare the annual budget

3) Treasury Functions

• Monitoring of receipts and payments of the Club i.e. cash management by constant review of accounts payable, accounts receivable;

• Manage cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policies

4) Investment

• Oversee the management and allocation of investment portfolios

5) Finance Committee and EXCO Meeting

• Coordinating, liaising and presenting to Finance Committee members for quarterly meetings

6) Others

• Liaising with internal & external parties such as external and internal auditors, CPF, IRAS, banks etc;

• Ensure that financial policies stipulated in the financial guidelines are adhered;

• Make recommendations for changes if needed, for continuous process improvement;

• Conduct ad-hoc internal audit whenever necessary;

• Carry out any other duties as assigned by DCG, CE or Committee Members

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent with CA preferred

• Minimum 5 years Managerial experience

• Familiar with Club Management System (CMS) will have an added advantage

• Well-versed in SFRS and IFRS requirements

• Independent, proactive and strong team player

• Good written and communication skills
