This Finance Manager offers the opportunity to lead the financial operations of a multi-entity ed-tech group, driving disciplined reporting and strategic growth. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to shape financial controls and support sustainable expansion.

Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Reporting

• Maintain and oversee the full set of accounts for all entities (currently 10 companies), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper intercompany alignment

• Perform timely monthly financial closing by the 10th working day of the following month to support management reporting timelines

Revenue & Receivables Management

• Reconcile student payments against bank records (e.g. DBS reports) and ensure accurate and timely recording of receipts

Expense & Cost Management

• Record, verify, and reconcile all expenses based on supporting documents (e.g. invoices, receipts), ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial records

• Review shared costs (e.g. rental, utilities, marketing) and perform appropriate cost allocations and intercompany backcharges across entities

• Ensure proper documentation and audit trail for all financial transactions

Payroll & Intercompany Accounting

• Process payroll entries and allocate staff costs across entities based on defined allocation frameworks

• Maintain accurate intercompany balances and ensure all related party transactions are properly recorded, reconciled, and aligned across entities

Compliance & Statutory Reporting

• Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns in compliance with Singapore tax regulations

• Liaise with IRAS and external tax agents on tax matters, including annual tax computations and filings

• Prepare year-end schedules and support the preparation of tax computations and unaudited financial statements for all entities

Systems, Controls & Process Improvement

• Ensure all financial data is properly maintained in QuickBooks Online with strong audit trails and documentation standards

• Establish, implement, and continuously improve finance SOPs to strengthen internal controls and operational efficiency

• Identify opportunities for automation and system improvements across finance workflows (e.g. data extraction, reconciliation, reporting)

Business Partnering & Strategic Support

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysis to guide expansion and operational decisions

• Provide actionable financial insights to management on business performance, cost optimisation, and growth opportunities

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

We are seeking a results-driven Assistant Finance Manager/Senior Accountant to lead our core financial accounting and reporting functions. This role reports directly to the Finance Manager and is primarily responsible for ensuring the integrity of the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles while managing a small team of junior accountants and executives. Your focus will be on maintaining high standards of financial compliance, streamlining reporting workflows, and ensuring accurate financial operations execution across multiple entities.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting, Reporting & Closing 

• Month-End Leadership: Oversee the full spectrum of the financial account closing process for multiple entities and dentist locations. 

• Accuracy & Review: Prepare and deliver timely, accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analytical reviews. 

• Team Management: Supervise and mentor a small team of junior accountants & executives, ensuring quality control over their month-end contributions. 

• Balance Sheet Integrity: Manage the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, ensuring intercompany balances, bank accounts, and fixed asset registers are cleared and accurate. 

• Financial Standards:  Ensure all financial statements and records comply with relevant Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and statutory requirements. 

• Tax Compliance:  Oversee GST filings and coordinate with tax consultants to ensure accurate corporate tax reporting and compliance. 

Treasury & Operational Finance 

• Treasury Management: Support all treasury operations, including monitoring cashflows and the preparation of vendor payments. 

• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Partner with operational departments to ensure smooth financial workflows and resolve daily accounting discrepancies. 

Audit, Compliance & Process Improvement 

• Audit Management: Manage external audit processes for assigned entities. Collaborate closely with the auditor by providing all requested documentation, schedules, and technical analysis. 

• SOP & System Optimization: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of financial policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the automation of manual processes. 

• Internal Controls: Ensure internal controls are adhered to mitigate financial risk and ensure data accuracy. 

Ad-hoc Tasks: Execute any other tasks assigned by management. 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 

• 5 years or more of relevant experience; a background in audit is highly preferred 

• Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite or comparable ERP systems is a significant advantage. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Finance Manager to oversee finance operations within our health insurance and third-party administration (TPA) business. This role will be responsible for revenue (premium income), accounts receivable, treasury, financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting. You will oversee assigned entities or portfolios, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of financial processes.

This role also partners closely with business units (e.g. claims operation, marketing and Actuarial) to support financial governance, improve processes, and strengthen internal controls, while contributing to system enhancements and finance transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Operations and Reporting

• Manage the full set of accounts for assigned entities, including month-end and year-end closing.

• Oversee premium billing, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and related reconciliations.

• Prepare timely and accurate management reports, financial statements, and variance analysis.

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including monitoring performance against plan.

• Ensure proper documentation, supporting schedules, and audit trails are maintained for all transactions.

2. Regulatory Compliance and Internal Controls

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, including SFRS/IFRS, and internal finance policies.

• Support statutory audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting where required.

• Maintain and enhance internal controls across core finance processes.

• Monitor credit control activities, including ageing analysis, collections follow-up, and provisioning assessments.

3. Revenue and Claims Finance Support

• Partner with operations and claims teams to ensure accurate recording of premium income and claims-related transactions.

• Support claims provisioning and reconciliation processes.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between operational reports and finance records.

4. Systems and Process Improvement

• Support finance-related system enhancements, automation projects, and transformation initiatives.

• Work with IT and business stakeholders to improve system logic for billing, collections, reconciliations, and reporting.

• Drive continuous process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and control.

• Perform data analysis to identify trends, exceptions, and opportunities for improvement.

5. Business Partnering

• Provide financial insights and support to business units on operational performance and cost management.

• Partner stakeholders to ensure financial considerations are embedded in business decisions and process changes.

• Support assessment of new initiatives, contracts, and operational changes from a finance and control perspective.

6. Team Supervision and Development

• Supervise and review the work of finance executives and accountants.

• Provide coaching, guidance, and technical support to team members.

• Ensure deliverables are completed accurately, on time, and in line with policy and control requirements.

7. Ad-hoc Projects

• Participate in cross-functional projects and finance transformation initiatives.

• Support management with ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and project work as required.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline.

• Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, or ACCA preferred.

• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in insurance or financial services.

• Strong experience in full set accounting and financial reporting.

• Exposure to insurance operations, such as premium billing, claims, underwriting, or policy administration, would be an advantage.

• Prior experience supervising a small team preferred.

• Sound knowledge of accounting standards and internal control practices.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

• Hands-on, meticulous, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
