Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer to support and manage enterprise network infrastructure, with a strong focus on routing, BGP, and Fortinet SD-WAN solutions. The ideal candidate will be embedded onsite, providing hands-on technical expertise, proactive support, and continuous optimization of network performance and security.

KeyResponsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support as a Resident Engineer, acting as the primary point of contact for network-related matters
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot complex network routing solutions, with deep expertise in BGP
• Deploy, manage, and optimize Fortinet SD-WAN solutions across enterprise environments
• Administer and maintain FortiManager platforms, including policy management, device provisioning, and centralized control
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Jinja to streamline configuration and deployment processes
• Monitor network performance, identify issues proactively, and implement corrective measures
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve incidents and improve infrastructure resilience
• Perform regular health checks, audits, and documentation of network systems

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on rotating equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, and diesel engines to ensure operational reliability
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and conduct root cause investigations to improve equipment performance
• Lead and supervise the Maintenance Team during night shifts and weekends to execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks effectively
• Train and mentor Maintenance Team members to enhance their technical skills and ability to perform complex maintenance activities
• Coordinate spare parts management with the Maintenance Team to support timely preventive maintenance
• Manage and liaise with vendors and contractors to ensure quality and timely completion of maintenance services
• Enforce compliance with safety standards across all maintenance activities to maintain a safe working environment

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma in Marine or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical field
• Minimum 3 years of plant maintenance experience, preferably in oil & gas or marine terminal industry
• Practical skills in servicing, maintenance, and overhaul of pumps, rotating machinery, and static equipment
• Effective communication and team-building skills to lead and develop maintenance personnel
• Willingness to perform outdoor fieldwork
