Description

As a Network Engineer L2, you will be responsible for the following :-

• Monitor and manage network infrastructure and UPS systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Perform real-time network monitoring and respond promptly to alerts and incidents.

• 12+ years working experience in software industry with 5+ years in leading development teams (managing team members from Junior engineers to Principal engineers, from Developers to QAs)

• Proven experience on leading team to successfully deliver for multiple releases for commercial software or services. Had solid understanding of full software development lifecycle, principles, practices, and methodologies

• Must have fundamentals in technology with Server-side development, preferably JavaScript (NodeJS, lambda, REST API) and AWS services

• Must have experience on working in a scrum team developing cloud services; fully understand services architecture, development, and testing; understand Agile and Scaled Agile. Can work with the team to break down complex technical requirements into logical execution slices

• Have insights about common engineering practice challenges and had experience of leading team to fix/improve them, e.g. automation framework, Feature Flag practice, CI/CD

• Strategic thinking to influence project decisions and develop teams for long term success

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experienced in using data to detect problems and make data-driven decision

• Demonstrated maturity in handling conflicts within team or cross teams. Hold good balance between being aggressive and being practical

• Comfortable at dealing with ambiguities. Be able to learn fast and grasp necessary key information in short time to build judgement for timely decision making

Responsibilities

• Interpret electrical and ELV schematic diagrams to guide project execution and ensure technical accuracy.

• Coordinate and liaise with sub-contractors to facilitate smooth site work progress and timely issue resolution.

• Review contract specifications and prepare variation orders to align with project requirements and changes.

• Perform engineering design tasks including load and fault calculations to support project planning and safety.

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues during installation, commissioning, and testing phases to maintain project quality.

• Verify installation works comply with approved shop drawings, method statements, project specifications, and relevant standards.

• Participate in regular site meetings with clients and sub-contractors to discuss progress and collaboratively resolve site matters.

• Support Project, Site, and Construction Managers by monitoring project progress and assisting in project management activities.

Requirements:

• ITE/Diploma/Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.

• Experience managing projects for industrial or commercial purposes.

• Experience in MRT projects is advantageous.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.

• Demonstrated problem-solving, coordination, and team collaboration skills.
