Job Summary

Develop, test, and support automated systems and applications to enhance software reliability and performance. Collaborate globally to troubleshoot incidents, optimize processes, and drive resilient software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and debug automated tasks across applications, systems, and infrastructure to ensure operational efficiency
• Troubleshoot priority incidents and lead blameless post-mortems to identify root causes and prevent recurrence
• Collaborate with development teams throughout the software lifecycle to deliver sustainable software releases
• Analyze historical incidents and usage patterns to predict issues and implement proactive solutions
• Design and promote self-healing and resiliency patterns to improve system stability
• Lead and participate in performance testing to identify bottlenecks, optimize system performance, and assess capacity needs
• Adhere to architecture standards, risk management, and security policies to maintain compliance and system integrity
• Work effectively in a global team environment, collaborating with product owners and business teams to develop, build, and support applications
• Communicate development progress and issues clearly with global teams and escalate as needed to resolve development impacts
• Provide postproduction application support to ensure ongoing system reliability
• Participate in quality assurance activities including peer and code reviews to maintain high code quality
• Build and maintain processes for data transformation, metadata management, dependency tracking, and workload management
• Manipulate, process, and extract value from large datasets to support business needs
• Apply working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and scalable big data stores to support data workflows
• Support and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment to achieve project goals
• Demonstrate proactive communication, accuracy, and integrity in all work activities

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role
• Availability to start immediately or within a short notice period

The Impact You’ll Make

• Modernize: Refactor legacy codebases into high-performance PySpark pipelines.

• Build: Design end-to-end data workflows using Databricks Jobs, Workflows, and Delta Lake.

• Optimize: Fine-tune Spark job performance and cluster configurations for cost and speed.

• Lead: Implement CI/CD, data quality frameworks, and mentor junior engineers.

What You Bring

• Expertise: 8+ years in Data Engineering with 2–3 years of hands-on Databricks experience.

• Technical Core: Deep mastery of PySpark (DataFrames/SQL), Python, and Delta Lake.

• Architecture: Strong understanding of Dimensional Modeling, Data Vault, or Lakehouse patterns.

• Modern Ops: Experience with Git, CI/CD, and robust monitoring/alerting.

Mandatory Requirement

• Certification: Must hold either Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate or Professional.
