Scope of Works:
- Perform front counter duties including collection of fees for museum admissions, events/ activities/ programmes, membership, and revenue from sales of merchandise and other ad-hoc charges in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Greet and smile to welcome all visitors and walk-in enquiries, answer and/or redirect enquiries over telephone and email
- Promote exhibitions, programmes and public docent tours
- Collate daily takings, visitor arrival figures and profiles; conduct daily gallery checks and replenish collateral
- Assist visitors in way finding and any other matters that may arise
- Prepare, loan and guide visitors on the use of visitor amenities, audio equipment and/or mobile devices
- Coordinate and facilitate group visits and private tour requests, including meet-and-greet
- Conduct inspection of cleanliness, functionality of visitor amenities, AV and IT equipment and submit daily reports to the Manager (when required)
- Manage the sale of merchandise and catalogues at the counter (when required)
- Approach visitors proactively to collect feedback about the museum or the galleries and collate feedback reports and handle all customers enquiries and feedback professionally
- Manage registration of public guided tours on-site and checking and confirming guide/docent’s attendance
- Guide visitors on the use of ticketing kiosk and/or digital initiatives adopted by the museum
- Introduce and highlight key exhibitions to visitors.
- Receive, check, tag and storage of merchandise; replenish stocks in the shop whenever stock level is low.
- Ensure the merchandise is properly displayed according to the visual merchandising guidelines and layout plans.
- Well-versed in product knowledge and able to introduce and explain curatorial intent of merchandise to visitors.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and goods exchanges, merchandise reservations and security practices.
- Assist & support various workshops/ events/ programmes.
- Coordinate venue bookings.
- Other daily operational and administrative duties as assigned.
