About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated L1 IT Application Support Analyst to be the first point of contact for our users. You will troubleshoot, triage, and resolve software and application issues, ensuring minimal downtime and high user satisfaction for our core business systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Incident Management: Act as the first line of defense, logging, categorizing, and prioritizing incoming support tickets via email, chat, and service desk portals.
• Troubleshooting & Triage: Investigate application errors, access issues, and performance glitches. Resolve basic issues and escalate complex bugs to L2/L3 teams.
• User Access Management: Manage user accounts, password resets, and role-based access permissions.
• System Monitoring: Monitor application health dashboards and automated alerts to proactively identify and report potential outages.
• Documentation: Maintain and update the internal knowledge base with step-by-step troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and known error databases.
• User Communication: Keep users informed on the status of their tickets and provide clear, non-technical explanations for resolutions.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 2–3 years of experience in IT Applications Support
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk), SQL for database querying, and exposure to ERP systems
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, critical thinking, and a strong customer-service mindset.
• *Comfortable with a contract-renewable arrangement (yearly).

Job Description & Requirements

We are seeking a Japanese-speaking IT Support to join our client, an MNC within the Financial sector. The successful hire should be proficient in Japanese language at a business level, in order to manage native Japanese stakeholders and bridge communication gaps between them and local technical teams. This role will also be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of various applications and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1st & 2nd level support for user technical issues or IT incidents.
• Act as the primary point of contact for Japanese native stakeholders, ensuring technical issues are explained clearly without losing the cultural context
• Translate complex technical requirements from stakeholders into actionable tickets for global development teams.
• Maintain documentation of system configurations and support procedures in both English and Japanese.
• Work closely with L3 support and vendors
• Define vendor SLAs and ensure compliance from relevant parties
• Be involved in various application enhancement projects, from planning through implementation and support phases
• Ad hoc tasks assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Business level proficiency in Japanese to communicate with Japanese native stakeholders (JLPTN1/N2 equivalent).
• Ideally around 4-5 years of IT support or IT related experience
• IT certs are advantageous to have (ie. ITIL, CompTIA, Microsoft certs, Azure DevOps etc.)
• Experience with ITSM/ ticket management tools like Servicenow, Zendesk, Jira etc. preferred
• Good communication skills, problem solving and teamwork skills.

In this role,you will be the bridge between our business operations and the technical teams,ensuring that our digital infrastructure empowers our employees to workefficiently. You will manage vendor relationships, govern SLAs, and lead the charge on application-related projects that drive our digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Service Governance: Own the end-to-end delivery of application services, ensuring they meet agreed-upon SLAs and KPIs.
• People Management: Lead a team of L1/L2 application support members, acting as the point of escalation and providing day-to-day guidance.
• ERP Stewardship: Act as the primary point of escalation for our ERP system, ensuring stability and coordinating with functional leads for upgrades and patches.
• Project Leadership: Lead application-focused projects, from initial requirement gathering through to UATs and post-go-live support.
• Vendor Management: Manage third-party service providers and software vendors, conducting regular performance reviews
• Incident & Problem Management: Oversee major incident responses related to applications, ensuring root cause analysis is performed to prevent recurrence.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with department heads to understand their pain points and translate business needs into technical roadmaps.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and optimize the application landscape to reduce technical debt.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Applications Management or IT support management
• Strong foundation and knowledge of ITSM frameworks
• People management/ team leading experience
• Proficient in SQL querying
• Experience with ERP systems and cloud platforms
