• Mondays to Fridays: 12:30pm to 5:30pm.

Job Scopes:
The Youth Worker / Student Support Facilitator plays a key role in supporting primary school students, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds or without after-school care arrangements. This role establishes a safe and nurturing environment for students after school hours, where they can receive guidance, socio-emotional support, and meaningful engagement. The staff member will partner with teachers, specialised school personnel, parents, and external agencies to strengthen each child’s well-being, behaviour, and development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Engagement & Programme Facilitation
• Plan and conduct daily engagement activities for students who remain in school after lessons.
• Facilitate enrichment activities, games, and values-based discussions to strengthen character development.
• Develop programmes that teach life skills such as emotional regulation, communication, problem-solving, and resilience.
• Provide a safe, supervised, and supportive environment for students during the afternoon period.
2. Socio-Emotional Support & Guidance
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students.
• Offer active listening, mentoring, and age-appropriate counselling support.
• Guide students through personal, social, and behavioural challenges.
• Identify early warning signs of emotional or behavioural concerns and escalate appropriately.
3. Collaboration with School Personnel
• Work closely with teachers, school counsellors, learning support and specialised personnel to understand students’ needs.
• Participate in case discussions and contribute to intervention plans.
• Communicate observations and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
4. Coordination with Parents and External Agencies
• Communicate with parents/guardians if required to reinforce strategies, follow up on concerns, or connect families to community resources.
• Engage with external social service agencies, family service centres, youth organisations, or community partners to support students with additional needs.
• Support the implementation of agency-led programmes or services in school.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when sharing or receiving information.
5. Administrative & Operational Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, observations, and interventions.
• Ensure safe and smooth day-to-day operations of the school-based afternoon engagement programme.
• Prepare resources and materials for daily activities.
• Uphold child protection and safety protocols consistently
Requirements:
The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
Qualifications
• Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Child Development, Youth Work, or related disciplines.
• Prior experience working with children or youth is advantageous.

• Skills in basic counselling, behaviour guidance, and conflict resolution.
