Job Summary:

We are seeking energetic and young candidates for Assistant Quantity Surveyor’s role with expertise in Quantity Surveying to manage costs related to construction projects within a consultancy environment. The role focuses on optimizing value for money while maintaining quality and compliance with project requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

• To prepare tender documents including measurements and Bills of Quantities.
• To prepare cost estimates.
• To be responsible in managing, monitoring and coordinating all quantity surveying work and contractual matters.
• To handle progress claims, site valuations, variation orders and final accounts.
• To attend project meetings.

Requirements:

• Minimum three (3) years of working experience
• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent
• Required skill(s): Pre-Contract Management, Post Contract Management
• Knowledge in AutoCAD and Measurement Software will be an added advantage
• Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia
• Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status

JOB DESCRIPTION :

1. To head the technical department of Port Klang, Merlimau, Pasir Gudang (thinner blending section) and Ipoh.

2. Supervising Senior Chemist and Chemist on R&D work.

3. Report chemical division research and development to Deputy General Manager and Executive director.

4. Report building division research and development to Deputy General Manager and Executive Director.

5. Supervising for QA and QC matter.

6. Design new product brochure, packing/label and prepare specification for building material.

7. Assist Sales department on customer service/complaint and technical support.

8. Provide advice on trouble-shooting for production.

9. Liaise with sales department for exploring on new product.

10. Assist sales department or management on technical issue for new market.

11. Prepare technical document if necessary for other business company requested by management.

12. Conduct technical orientation to new chemist and sales.

COMPETENCY LEVEL :

1. Minimum university degree in chemistry or chemistry related field. For example: applied chemistry, industry chemistry, etc.

2. Minimum 5 years working experience in company as senior chemist level or above or equivalent designation with similar field of business at other company.

3. Possess good technical knowledge on company’s product and related products.

4. Able to lead the team and manage subordinate.

5. Good analytical skill, resourceful on similar product.

6. Fluent in English and Malay languages. Good command of Chinese language is an added advantage.

Tanggungjawab Kerja

1. Menyediakan dan menetapkan harga dokumen tender, termasuk pengukuran dan pengiraan kos BQ.

2. Semak lukisan, spesifikasi dan keperluan tender.

3. Meminta, menganalisis dan membandingkan sebut harga subkontraktor & pembekal.

4. Menyediakan ringkasan tender dan membantu dalam penyerahan tender.

5. Membantu dalam penyediaan tuntutan interim, perintah variasi (VO), dan akaun akhir.

6. Pantau kos projek dan simpan rekod kos yang betul.

7. Menyelaras dengan pasukan projek, perunding dan subkontraktor.

8. Semak dan sahkan kerja-kerja QS asas yang disediakan oleh kakitangan junior.

Keperluan

1. Ijazah dalam Ukur Bahan atau setaraf.

2. Minimum 4 tahun pengalaman dalam industri pembinaan.

3. Mahir dengan penetapan harga tender, BQ, dan pentadbiran kontrak asas.

4. Mampu bekerja secara bebas dengan pengawasan minimum.

5. Mahir dalam Excel dan alat QS asas.

6. Bertanggungjawab, teliti, dan mampu memenuhi tarikh akhir.
