Responsibilities:
- Design and simulate active/passive integrated photonic devices and circuits.
- Develop photonic device models and optimize performance metrics (efficiency, bandwidth, loss).
- Collaborate with fabrication teams to ensure design manufacturability (DFM).
- Conduct design verification and performance analysis via simulation and experimental data correlation.
- Support product development from concept to volume production.
- Document specifications and support test/integration teams.
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Master Degree with 3 years’ industry experience or PhD in EE/Optics/Physics
- Proficiency in photonic simulation tools (Lumerical, COMSOL, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of photonic device principles (waveguides, modulators, detectors, lasers)
- Experience with semiconductor fabrication processes and DFM.
- Familiarity with scripting for automation (Python, MATLAB).
- Background in silicon photonics, III-V, or hybrid integration is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
