Job Summary
Manage a portfolio of SME audit clients by leading audit engagements in compliance with firm policies and professional standards, resolving technical issues, and fostering client relationships to support business growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead audit engagements for SME clients by applying firm policies, procedures, and professional standards to deliver high-quality assurance services that meet regulatory and client expectations
- Direct audit teams to identify and resolve technical matters efficiently, ensuring accurate and timely completion of audit deliverables
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their business operations and proactively identifying opportunities for business growth and service expansion
- Apply analytical thinking and initiative to assess audit risks, evaluate financial data, and provide actionable recommendations that enhance client financial controls and compliance
- Communicate audit findings clearly and professionally to clients and internal stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making and continuous improvement
Required competencies and certifications
- Hold a recognised degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional accounting qualifications
- Demonstrate relevant experience delivering audit and assurance services in large or mid-tier international public accounting firms
- Possess or be ready to apply for a practicing certificate
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Exhibit strong technical skills in auditing standards and accounting principles to ensure audit quality and compliance
- Apply initiative and analytical skills to improve audit processes and enhance client service delivery
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to build productive working relationships and foster collaboration
