Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and analytical Accounting Intern to join our Singapore team in a dynamic startup environment. This internship offers hands-on exposure to accounting operations, financial reporting, and business analysis, providing opportunities to contribute to process improvements and financial projects.
Responsibilities
- Support daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and management schedules
- Perform bank reconciliations and review financial transactions for accuracy
- Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or improvement opportunities
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for management review
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on finance and business projects
Minimum Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related disciplines
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting concepts
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis functions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Prior internship experience or familiarity with accounting software is an advantage
