• Lead or support presentation of deal proposals to Customers

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 15+ years demonstrated success working with customers on substantial, strategic, and complex software or cloud services/infrastructure deals (relative to industry and market size) from opportunity through closure
• 12+ years working with, presenting to, and negotiating with C-level executives, IT, lines of business, procurement, finance, and legal and internal stakeholders for sizeable commercial/enterprise deals

• Revenue Ownership: Own and deliver against a direct revenue target for AWS Support products in the India and/or other assigned areas. Build and manage a qualified pipeline, drive deal progression, and close bookings in collaboration with Account Managers and Partner Sales teams.

• Customer Engagement: Directly engage with AWS customers with internal teams to identify optimization opportunities, drive WASI program adoption, and generate revenue through AWS Support product sales (e.g., Countdown Premium, Enterprise Support).

• Go-to-Market Execution: Collaborate with WASI GTM Specialists and regional SA teams to design and execute targeted campaigns, events, and initiatives that drive awareness of AWS Support products, pipeline growth, and program adoption in India and/or other assigned areas.

• Thought Leadership: Establish yourself as a trusted WASI SME in the India market — deliver presentations, host webinars, and participate in AWS events and partner summits.

• Pipeline & Metrics Ownership: Own and manage the WASI engagement pipeline, tracking intakes, revenue influence, partner activity, and customer outcomes. Report regularly to leadership on territory health and business performance.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work across APJC T-BD, SA, and GTM peers to share best practices, replicate successful motions, and maintain alignment on programmatic goals and territory strategy.

• Travel: Travel within India (and occasionally across APJC) to support partner and customer engagements, events, and QBRs. Estimated 20–30% travel.

Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be working on:

• Partner with software engineers and other functions to understand objectives for development delivery efficiency and system resiliency, helping them articulate how specific technical capabilities and best practices will achieve key business outcomes.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of client's existing technical landscapes, workflows, and processes to identify inefficiencies, pain points, and gaps that hinder their goals.

• Collaborate with client to identify the most relevant practices (e.g., CI/CD, SRE) for using Core Engineering Products in achieving their goals, considering unique needs and industry best practices.

• Develop transition roadmaps that outline a clear path from the current state to the desired future state, including the adoption of recommended tools and processes.

• Explain complex concepts clearly to various client stakeholders, providing actionable recommendations for improving workflows and addressing their challenges, and providing supporting diagrams as needed.

• Support client with proof of concept (POC) initiatives to validate solutions, offering hands-on assistance during early implementation phases to enable smooth transitions to full-scale rollouts.

• Collaborate closely with fellow Software Engineers to exchange insights, share tools and scripts, and foster a collaborative environment that supports continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

• 6+ years in an individual contributor software engineering role.

• Experience with React with TypeScript

• Experience with NodeJS is a plus.

• Experience with one or more of Cloud Service Providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus

• Strong track record of successful large-scale partner solution implementations, preferably in complex enterprise environments

• Exceptional communication skills with ability to bridge technical discussions between internal teams and external partners

• Experience working in highly secured and air gap systems is a plus (i.e. banking, government systems and similar)
