The Investment Services Platform Team (ISPT) is a central team within Platform Operating Model Control and Support in Global Operating Platform, reporting to the Global Head of Platform Control and Support with a global remit. As a System Engineer, you wil play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex systems and infrastructure. Your responsibilities will encompass analyzing system requirements, developing technical solutions, and ensuring the seamless integration of various components to meet organizational objectives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to

optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilies:

1. System Design and Architecture:

⁃ Analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications for system design and architecture. Develop comprehensive system architecture plans, considering factors such as scalability, security, and performance. Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

2. System Implementation and Integration:

- Support the implementation of system solutions, including hardware, software, and network components. Configure and deploy system infrastructure, ensuring proper integration and interoperability between subsystems. Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues effectively.

3. System Monitoring and Optimization:

- Establish system monitoring procedures to proactively identify performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and potential failures. Optimize system configurations to improve performance, reliability, and resource utilization. Implement automation tools and scripts to streamline system management tasks and enhance operational efficiency.

4. Security and Compliance:

Implement robust security measures to protect systems and data against unauthorized access. malware, and other security threats. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational system vulnerabilities and implement remediation measures.

5.Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

Create and maintain comprehensie documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and technical guides. Provide training and knowledge sharing sessions to inlemal teams on system architecture, best practices,and troubleshooting techniques.

6. Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, network engineers, and project managers, to ensure successful project delivery. provide status updates Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, and address concers.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Proven experience as a System Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of system architecture, infrastructure components, and networking concepts. Proficiency in system administration tasks, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, databases, and server hardware.

- Familiarity with virtualization tlechnologies, cloud computing platfoms, and containerization solutions. Good understanding cybersecurity of principles and best practices.

- Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python, PowerShel) and automation tools (eg. Arsible, Puppet) is desirable.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the 'ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

• Provide day-to-day application support and maintenance to ensure system reliability and availability.
• Participate in software performance optimization, database tuning, and system enhancement initiatives.
• Work closely with cross-functional development teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with software development standards, security requirements, and industry best practices.
• Support system integration, deployment, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-implementation activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in software development and system engineering.
• Strong experience in software design, development, and maintenance using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Experience in database design, development, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with system integration, API development, and enterprise application architecture.
• Experience in Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) systems will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of EMV payment standards and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with version control systems, testing methodologies, and deployment processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
