Tech Lead – Data Centre Network Architecture & NFVi

Singapore | 12-Month Renewable Employment Term

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead – Data Centre Network Architecture & NFVi to support a strategic enterprise customer engagement in Singapore.

This is a senior customer-facing role combining technology advisory, solution architecture, network consultancy and delivery leadership. The successful candidate will assess customers’ existing network environments, identify architecture gaps and recommend future-state solutions aligned with business objectives, industry trends and operational requirements.

The role requires a strong combination of Data Centre networking expertise, hands-on implementation experience and the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders, including VP and C-level executives.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Advisory and Solution Consulting

• Build trusted-adviser relationships with customers, technical teams and senior executives.
• Assess customers’ current network architecture across multiple domains and recommend practical improvement areas.
• Identify architecture gaps, risks and technology opportunities.
• Advise customers on future-state infrastructure architecture based on industry trends and business requirements.
• Translate complex technical solutions into clear business outcomes for senior stakeholders.
• Provide pre-sales support, solution scoping and technical consultancy across multiple technology domains.
• Contribute to effort estimation, implementation timelines and solution options while managing customer expectations.

Data Centre Network Architecture

• Lead the design of high-level and low-level Data Centre network solutions.
• Architect scalable, resilient and secure network infrastructure environments.
• Design and advise on solutions involving:Cisco ACIVXLAN EVPNMulti-Pod and Multi-Site architectureData Centre Interconnect (DCI)WAN and LAN networkingSoftware-Defined WANSoftware-Defined AccessNetwork Functions Virtualisation Infrastructure (NFVi)Service orchestration
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend suitable adoption strategies.

Project Delivery and Implementation

• Lead end-to-end project delivery, including planning, design, network staging, implementation, migration, testing and handover.
• Provide technical leadership during deployment and infrastructure transformation projects.
• Support troubleshooting of network incidents and technical issues during project implementation.
• Provide remote or onsite deployment support where required.
• Work closely with project managers, customer relationship teams, account teams, business units and cross-functional stakeholders.

Technical Leadership and Capability Development

• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to delivery teams.
• Support capability development through knowledge sharing, training and coaching.
• Develop reusable tools, automation scripts and delivery best practices.
• Promote the use of automation and AI tools to improve delivery efficiency.
• Support the incubation of new end-to-end services and technology solutions.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Data Centre networking, infrastructure architecture, network consultancy or solution delivery.
• Strong experience in Data Centre network planning, design and implementation.
• Deep hands-on experience with Cisco ACI and VXLAN EVPN.
• Experience designing or implementing Multi-Pod and Multi-Site architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco Nexus platforms, including:Nexus 9000Nexus 7000Nexus 5000Nexus 2000
• Experience with Catalyst series switches, DCI and virtualised network environments.
• Good knowledge of WAN, LAN, SD-WAN and Software-Defined Access technologies.
• Experience with NFVi solutions and service orchestration.
• Strong customer-facing consulting and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to present complex architecture recommendations clearly to senior executives.
• Experience leading project delivery from solution design through implementation and handover.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownership

• Define and drive product roadmap priorities aligned to business growth objectives and ecosystem requirements.
• Evaluate market opportunities, competitive positioning, and evolving payment ecosystem developments across regional markets.
• Ensure product capabilities remain commercially viable, scalable, and aligned with ecosystem and market needs.

2. Product Development & Governance

• Own end-to-end product lifecycle governance from ideation, prioritization, development coordination, UAT readiness, release deployment, through to adoption monitoring.
• Translate business, operational, and ecosystem requirements into clear product specifications and development priorities.
• Work closely with Technology and Product teams to oversee feature development, enhancement delivery, and release planning.
• Participate in requirements walkthroughs, UAT governance, release readiness reviews, and production deployment alignment.

3. Product Research & Solution Development

• Conduct market research, ecosystem analysis, consumer insights, and competitive benchmarking across payment ecosystems and digital platforms.
• Perform product feasibility assessments and solution validation with internal technology, operations, and external ecosystem partners.
• Identify new product enhancements, ecosystem opportunities, interoperability initiatives, and market expansion use cases.
• Prepare and manage BRDs, functional specifications, process flows, user stories, and product documentation to support development and operational readiness.
• Validate product-market fit and ecosystem adoption potential through partner engagement, market feedback, and transaction performance analysis.

4. Ecosystem & Commercial Alignment

• Partner with ACT (Activation, Conversion & Transactions), Commercial, and Ecosystem Enablement teams to support transaction growth, merchant participation, ecosystem adoption, and network utilization objectives.
• Collaborate with issuers, acquirers, merchants, wallet ecosystems, payment partners, and regional stakeholders to understand market expectations and operational requirements.
• Drive product usability, interoperability readiness, ecosystem integration improvements, and payment experience optimization.
• Support strategic discussions around ecosystem expansion, partner integrations, corridor growth, and payment ecosystem innovation.

5. Product Commercialization & Adoption

• Ensure new features and capabilities are commercially positionable, operationally deployable, and adoptable by participating ecosystem stakeholders.
• Work with Growth, Activation, and Ecosystem Enablement teams to support rollout strategies, ecosystem adoption initiatives, and transaction activation programs.
• Monitor feature utilization, transaction performance, user engagement trends, merchant participation, and ecosystem adoption metrics.
• Identify gaps impacting product usage, ecosystem participation, or transaction conversion and drive improvement initiatives accordingly.
• Develop product positioning materials, capability decks, use-case documentation, and launch collateral to support ecosystem adoption and commercial engagement.
• Support sales enablement, partner presentations, ecosystem education, and product awareness initiatives across participating markets.

6. Stakeholder Management

• Serve as a key product lead across internal business units and external ecosystem stakeholders.
• Coordinate across Product Committee members, Technology, Operations, Compliance, Commercial, and Support functions to ensure alignment.
• Present roadmap updates, product priorities, ecosystem developments, and enhancement recommendations to senior management stakeholders.

Key Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in product management, digital payments, fintech, digital wallets, acquiring, QR ecosystems, or financial services environments.
• Strong understanding of digital payments, QR ecosystems, acquiring models, digital wallets, merchant ecosystems, transaction flows, and payment network structures.
• Proven experience managing payment products, digital platforms, ecosystem-driven financial services solutions, or payment network capabilities.
• Experience leading regional or multi-stakeholder product initiatives across both business and operational environments preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance technical feasibility, market viability, operational readiness, and ecosystem adoption considerations.
• Experience working across cross-functional teams including Technology, Operations, Compliance, Commercial, Growth, and Support functions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities across both business and technical audiences.
• Experience preparing BRDs, functional specifications, process flows, business cases, and product documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and execution management capabilities.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience working with regional payment schemes, wallet ecosystems, digital payment platforms, or cross-border payment interoperability initiatives.
• Familiarity with SGQR, DuitNow, PromptPay, QRIS, UPI, Alipay+, Weixin Pay, or similar ecosystem models.
• Strong understanding of product commercialization, ecosystem adoption mechanics, and transaction growth drivers.
• Experience supporting merchant ecosystem integrations, consumer payment journeys, digital commerce initiatives, or network-based payment ecosystems.
• Experience in fintech scale-up or high-growth payment environments preferred.
