• Prepare and submit basic expense reports on behalf of stakeholders using internal tools. Ensure proper documentation is attached, including scanned receipts and cost coding. Follow up on pending reimbursements and support communication with Accounts Payable (A/P) for status updates. 

• Create, organize, and maintain digital folders in SharePoint and Microsoft Teams. Save documents using standardized naming conventions. Assist in retrieving requested files for internal use and ensure version control is followed. Support routine audits to check for outdated or missing documents. 

• Enter information into internal trackers, spreadsheets, and platforms with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. Help maintain up-to-date databases used by stakeholders and ensure no duplication or data gaps occur. Escalate inconsistencies or errors to senior admins or team leaders. 

• Submit IT Helpdesk requests and ServiceNow tickets (e.g., hardware issues, password resets, access issues). Track ticket numbers and assist in following up with the IT support team if tickets remain unresolved. Provide updates to stakeholders on ticket status as needed. 

• Assist in formatting documents such as Excel trackers, PowerPoint decks, and Word files. Support the creation of simple reports or templates by populating data provided by stakeholders. Ensure proper alignment, consistency, and file readiness for review or submission. 

• Support day-to-day office tasks such as checking task trackers, entering information into forms, preparing templates, and logging training completion on platforms like AECOM University. Provide support during internal audits by helping locate documents or system entries. 

• Assist in monitoring basic vendor-related transactions such as status of PO requests, COI follow-up, or wire transfer confirmations. Raise Employee Center cases for vendor-related queries or payment issues as instructed.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Principal Engineer (Structures) to lead structural design and engineering initiatives for our data center projects in Chennai, India. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing innovative structural solutions that support mission-critical infrastructure while ensuring compliance with local and international building standards. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance data center facilities that meet stringent technical and operational requirements.

• Lead the structural design and analysis of data center facilities, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with applicable building codes and standards in India
• Develop comprehensive structural engineering plans, specifications, and technical documentation for complex data center projects
• Conduct detailed structural analysis using advanced modeling and simulation software to evaluate load-bearing capacity, seismic resilience, and thermal considerations

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth and Market Development

• Influence and implement the Asia data center market strategy, leveraging AECOM’s global platform, expertise, and delivery capabilities.
• Attract and secure new data center clients while building and maintaining a robust opportunity pipeline in partnership with global technology market sector leadership and client account managers.
• Participate in and help drive innovation initiatives to differentiate AECOM and respond to emerging market trends (e.g., design automation, decarbonization, renewable energy integration, liquid cooling, rack densification).
• Lead and grow AECOM’s data center business across all business lines and services including due diligence, master planning, data center/power/water infrastructure design, construction management, project management, quantity surveying, environmental services, etc.
• Provide thought leadership internally and externally, strengthening AECOM’s brand as a leader in data center development.
• Track and deliver against key performance indicators including project bookings, executed net service revenue, gross margin, and quality.

Pursuit and Proposal Leadership

• Oversee the development of high-quality, competitive, and winning proposals, including both technical and commercial submissions.
• Lead client presentations, interviews, and pursuit strategy sessions.
• Drive growth of existing client accounts in collaboration with global technology market sector leaders and account management teams.
