• Design, commissioning & install automation machines & systems to meet project & production schedule.
• Review & upgrade existing automated production lines via root cause analysis for continuously improvement to meet production new requirement.
• Create, prepare, update automation project documentation, procedures & drawings of Gantt chart, weekly progress report, process / equipment flow chart, validation list, buy off/FAT/SAT(Factory / Site Acceptance Test) procedure, mechanical assembly & layout drawing, electrical diagram & wiring, I/O list, co-robot & PLC program,SOP (Standard Operation Procedure), WI (Work Instruction) & PM (preventive maintenance) check list.
• Attention to details of design concepts, provide most cost-effective technical solutions in line with customer and company needs.
• Update & back up automation system documentation, procedures, drawings, software, co-robot & PLC programming timely.
• Coordinate with internal team (BD, QC, production, maintenance) and external supplier to make projects successful.
• Prepare machines preventive maintenance checklist and training operation & maintenance staff.

Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree of Engineering in Automation / Mechatronics / Mechanical / Electrical or equivalent.
• Previous 3-6 years’ experience as a validation engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience in project management.
• Strong understanding of automation engineering system design concept & development, manufacturing processes and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of statistical software analysis (e.g., MINITAB, MATLAB)
• Well versed in Microsoft office tools (Excel/ Word / PowerPoint).
• Attention to details and eager to learn new technology
• Location: Joo Koon|Mondays to Fridays (8:30am to 5:45pm)
• Monthly salary x 13 +Variable Bonus. Monthly salary will commensurate according to experiences

Job Description:

• Collaborate with the Project Leader to execute the MOE-TIF project on AI-driven optimization of aeroponic systems.
• Manage and operate aeroponic cultivation systems for leafy vegetables and high-value fruiting crops.
• Design and conduct experiments to investigate plant physiological responses under different spray regimes and nutrient formulations.
• Monitor plant growth parameters, nutrient uptake efficiency, and environmental conditions to support AI model training.
• Plan and execute experiments, prepare progress reports, and provide regular updates on project milestone.
• Assist in system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and modification of aeroponic equipment.
• Document experimental data, analyse results, and contribute to project reports and publication.
• Coordinate with industrial collaborators and support pilot testing at partner farm sites.
• Manage procurement processes, including liaising with vendors, sourcing materials, equipment, and testing supplies, and raising purchase requests.
• Document and track project issues, expenses, budget, action logs, and equipment maintenance.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Project Leader.

Job Requirement:

• Relevant qualification in Agricultural Science, Food Science, Horticulture, Plant Science, Agricultural Engineering, Biotechnology, or related disciplines.
• Hands-on experience in urban agriculture cultivation, plant nutrition management, and controlled environment agriculture systems.
• Experience in operating cultivation equipment and designing controlled experiments.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow project timelines and operational arrangements.
• Proven ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks with a strong sense of responsibility to meet project milestones.

• Successful candidates will be employed on a contract basis for two year duration of the project.

Job Summary

As an Electronics R&D Engineer, you will lead the full lifecycle of technical projects by designing and implementing integrated hardware, software, and Edge AI solutions. You will collaborate across teams in Singapore and Shanghai and manage vendor partnerships to deliver innovative, client-focused systems.

Responsibilities

• Design system architectures integrating electronic hardware, embedded software, and AI applications tailored to client requirements

• Lead prototyping and development of embedded systems and robotics interfaces to ensure seamless AI module integration

• Develop detailed technical documentation including specifications, system schematics, and implementation roadmaps

• Plan, execute, and monitor project milestones to deliver solutions on time and within budget

• Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to ensure deliverables meet performance standards and client expectations

• Manage external vendors and technology partners to secure quality sourcing and collaborative technical execution

• Serve as the primary technical liaison between customers and internal business units to align project goals

• Coordinate cross-border collaboration with teams in Singapore and Shanghai to optimize regional resources

• Provide pre-sales technical support and post-sales follow-up to build and maintain long-term client relationships

Required competencies and certifications

• Professional fluency in English and Mandarin to facilitate effective communication with stakeholders in Singapore and China

• Proven experience in embedded systems development, Strong understanding of the interplay between hardware circuitry, firmware, and high-level software/AI frameworks.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

• A rapid learner who can stay ahead of emerging tech trends (AI, IoT, Robotics) and apply them to real-world problems.

• A proactive, "can-do" mindset with the resilience to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
