Key Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics for MYP and DP levels (30 periods per week).
• Collaborate with colleagues and IB Coordinators to develop and implement the curriculum.
• Design lessons to meet students' needs and learning styles.
• Stay updated with new teaching methods and IB assessment requirements.
• Participate in activities outside school hours, including professional development and after-school meetings.
• Supervise students during break, lunch, and other unstructured times.
• Lead or coach an after-school Co-Curricular Activity (CCA).
• Assist with substitute coverage and classroom resource management.
• Contribute to school development through committees or workgroups.
• Support new colleagues with coaching and teaching resources.
• Any ad hoc duties assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably within the IB MYP/DP framework.
• Knowledge of curriculum development and IB assessment criteria.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• IB Professional Development certification (Category 1, 2, or 3) is preferred.

Mathematics Teacher (International School)

The successful candidate will play a key role in helping to establish the Science Department, initially delivering engaging lessons in Mathematics in Years 5 to 10, growing through to Year 11.

Ideally, applicants will have the ability to teach a second subject up to Key Stage 3 or beyond.

The post-holder will contribute to the delivery of the Cambridge International Curriculum, ensuring students are well-prepared for IGCSE Mathematics and and IGCSE Additional Mathematics in related examinations. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the successful candidate will serve as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral care and fostering students' personal growth. They will also contribute to the school’s extracurricular programme, engaging students in science-related activities, clubs, and competitions

Key Responsibilities:

·       Develop and deliver a rigorous and engaging Mathematics curriculum, in line with the Cambridge International Curriculum and School ethos.

·       Teach Mathematics across age range from year 6 through to IGCSE, inspiring curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in students.

·       Support students in preparing for IGCSE Mathematics, for first examination in May/June 2027, delivering a well-structured and challenging course

·       Develop and implement lesson plans, learning materials and assessments that cater to varying levels of language proficiency.

·       Regularly provide formative and summative assessments to monitor students' progress.

·       Teach a second subject (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, or Computer Science) up to Key Stage 3 or 4, where applicable.

·       Provide guidance and support as a Form Tutor, promoting students' personal and social development.

·       Establish positive relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and addressing any concerns.

·       Incorporate innovative teaching strategies and technology to enhance the science learning experience.

·       Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment, catering to diverse learning needs, including EAL learners.

·       Contribute to the extracurricular programme by leading mathematical clubs, STEM projects, and competitions.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

·       Minimum four (4) years of teaching experience within an international school environment.

·       A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, together with a recognised professional teaching qualification (e.g., PGDE, PGCE, PGCEi, NIE Diploma) or a valid Teacher Licence / QTS.

·       Strong knowledge and experience in delivering the mathematics curriculum.

·       Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver inquiry-based and concept-driven learning effectively.

·       Experience working with EAL learners, with the ability to incorporate strategies that support language acquisition in Science.

·       Proven capability in curriculum development, including experience in developing curriculum frameworks and/or leading a team.

·       Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and effective teaching strategies to support diverse learners.

·       Experience teaching Mathematics to students 10–16, with familiarity in preparing students for IGCSE or equivalent examinations.
