Job Scope:

Reporting to the Development Team Lead in charge of the project, the test engineer will be working with the business requirement, project, technical, policy and stakeholders’ units to create test objective, test strategies and test cases as well as perform quality testing of the product development and maintenance. The test engineer role plays an important part in ensuring a smooth user experience in Mass Transportation Fare Ticketing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, develop, and maintain detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test strategies, documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.

• Identifying and documenting software defects to ensure quality and functionality, working with developers/engineers to resolve issues, and verifying that the software meets requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as site representative in global Communities of Practice (CoPs) and Centers of Excellence (CoEs), ensuring effective communication and alignment on analytical processes.

To support the inspection team during Turnaround (TA) byproviding Quality Assurance oversight for mechanical repair execution—ensuringrepairs, cleaning, and reinstatement for static equipment are performedcorrectly, on time, and without rework.

1. QA Oversight for Mechanical & Repair Activities

Act as QA checker for repair and mechanical teams.
Verify compliance with Aster’s repair specifications, ITPs, and code requirements.
Oversee activities such as:

• Exchanger bundle cleaning (e.g., water jetting), inspection, testing and repairs
• Welding repairs
• Surface preparation ready for NDE
• Component replacement
• Reassembly

2. Expediting & Schedule Support

• Track progress of repair activities to ensure alignment with TA schedule.
• Follow up with contractors to minimise delays and prevent rework.
• Ensure timely readiness for inspection release points.

3. Interface with Inspectors & Contractors

• Support inspectors by coordinating mechanical readiness for inspections.
• Communicate repair status, constraints, and critical path risks.
• Ensure correct sequencing of repair → inspection → closure.

4. Quality Control & Documentation

• Confirm that repair records, checklists, and EQCC documents are completed correctly.
• Maintain traceability for exchanger repairs, part replacement, and welding documentation.
• Report any non-conformances promptly.

5. HSSE & Field Compliance

• Ensure mechanical and contractor teams follow safety rules and PTW requirements.

Job Requirements
