THE ROLE:

Test Engineering is a cost, quality, and time-to-market driven team responsible for enabling the availability of FPGAs, SoCs & ACAPs to our customers.  The Test Engineer will be involved in new product release as well as production yield/quality improvement activities.  This role requires close collaboration with Test Pattern Developers & Product Engineers to create test programs that provide optimum test coverage for our products.  There are also ample opportunities to work on cost reduction and test capacity improvement projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops ATE test programs to test FPGA & SoCs products.  This involves constructing or enhancing test methods, and integration of timings/ levels and test flow into a test program.
• Involved with New Product Introduction process and works with test pattern developers in generating, debugging, and implementing new test patterns.
• Other duties include working with product/yield engineers in implementing new test requirements for yield and quality improvements; as well as working on productivity improvement and cost reduction activities such as test time reduction and multi-site development & implementation.
• Analyze large test datasets to drive yield improvement, failure analysis, and continuous optimization; build automated dashboards and reports.
• Manage and execute complex test cost reduction projects and New Product bring up

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• The candidate should have 5 or more years of ATE test program development experience. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in one or more of the following ATE platforms are desired: Advantest T2000 and/or Verigy93000 (Smartest 7/8).
• There should be a proven track record of developing and releasing new test programs to production.  Good understanding of test concepts & new product development cycle is desired.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and C++ for ATE test development, tooling, and data analysis; experienced with libraries such as OpenSSL, NumPy, and Pandas, and capable of designing and maintaining robust regression test suites.
• Practical experience with Git for version control and Confluence for documentation and knowledge management.
• Strong hands-on Linux skills for development, automation, scripting, and environment management.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics Engineering
• Specialization in Electronics or Computer Engineering is preferred.

Roles and  Responsibilities
- Develop detailed inspection plans for aerospace components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, engineering specifications, and regulatory standards.

- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to define the most appropriate inspection methods and criteria for new parts, assemblies, and systems.

- Identify and select suitable inspection tools, techniques, and measurement equipment (e.g., CMM, optical, gaging etc.).

- Establish acceptance criteria and tolerances for aerospace products based on engineering drawings, material specifications, and industry standards.

- Create and maintain detailed inspection reports, documentation, and records, ensuring that all inspection activities are traceable and compliant with regulatory requirements.

- Develop inspection records that support traceability and certification, including first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections.

- Create CMM or  Gear Programming for in process inspection and final inspection.

- Ensure that all inspection processes adhere to aerospace industry standards, including AS9100, AS9110, AS9120, NADCAP, FAA regulations, and customer-specific requirements.

- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, ensuring that all personnel are trained and knowledgeable about relevant protocols.

- Support internal and external audits related to inspection processes and quality assurance systems.

- Investigate and perform root cause analysis for any quality issues or inspection failures, using tools such as 8D, FMEA, and Fishbone diagrams.

- Lead initiatives to improve inspection processes, reduce inspection times, and increase the accuracy and reliability of inspections.

- Stay current with the latest inspection technologies, methodologies, and trends in the aerospace industry.

Minimum Education required (specific field or equivalent):

Degree in Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineering.

Minimum years of experience in role:

At least 3 years working experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills (if any):

- Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerances, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

- Proficiency in the use of inspection tools and equipment (e.g., CMM, calipers, micrometers, etc.).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and propose corrective actions.

- Good working on Quality Management System meeting AS9100, AS9102, AS13100 requirements.
