About The Role

As an Assistant Manager/Manager for the Strategic Procurement - Medical Technology department, you will be based in ALPS HQ office. This is a strategic procurement role that goes beyond transactional buying to shape long-term value creation, drive innovation, and influence how medical equipment is sourced and managed nationally. The role requires a strategic thinker who can balance clinical needs, financial sustainability, and operational excellence whilst managing complex stakeholder relationships across multiple healthcare institutions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing

• Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies for medical equipment across Singapore's healthcare system.

Vendor Management

• Collaborate with vendors to optimize performance in terms of cost, quality, and delivery.

Market Analysis

• Conduct horizon scanning and benchmarking of the medical technology landscape to identify trends, innovations, and cost-saving opportunities.

Stakeholder Engagement

Job Purpose

This role shall report to the Manager, IT Procurement and is a key member of the IT Procurement and Contract Management team that is committed to deliver excellent service, value and expertise to our internal partners and stakeholders through a managed process for IT Procurement. The successful candidate will be offered a one (1) year contract.

This role is crucial for IT Procurement team to provide support and guidance to IT globally for vendor selection and evaluation activities for each IT spend and contract review in accordance with the guidelines of the company’s policy and guidelines.

This role shall also support the IT Contract Management team in ensuring that all relevant IT contracts are uploaded in a timely manner onto the Global Contract Repository.

Roles & Responsibilities

IT Procurement

• Support IT team members globally on procurement activities including Request for Quote, Request for Proposal process and contract renewal/extension for all IT categories in a timely, consistent and quality manner in accordance with IT guidelines, company’s policy and guidelines.
• Ensure timely update, accuracy and completeness of electronic procurement approval process and IT Procurement SharePoint site.
• Prepare and support Request for Quote with the requestor including review of RFQ documents.
