We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Executive/Assistant Manager to drive our social media and brand marketing initiatives. This role blends creative storytelling with data-driven insights to elevate our brand presence, enhance stakeholder engagement, and support the Institute’s growth objectives. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator capable of translating complex research into compelling digital narratives while managing cross-functional projects and optimising performance metrics.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive social media and brand strategies aligned with institutional business objectives.
• Oversee daily operations for social media channels (primarily LinkedIn), including long-term editorial planning, scheduling, and community management.
• Lead the end-to-end creation of high-quality, on-brand content (infographics, short-form videos, newsletters, and success stories) tailored to diverse audiences.
• Collaborate closely with researchers to translate technical scientific work into accessible, accurate, and engaging digital content.
• Protect and strengthen the Institute’s brand identity across all digital touchpoints to ensure absolute consistency in tone, visuals, and messaging.
• Monitor and analyse channel performance and provide regular reports with actionable, data-driven recommendations to optimise growth.
• Drive the digital promotion of events, webinars, publications, and strategic partnerships through targeted campaigns.
• Provide support for outreach and event management tasks as assigned (from small size workshop to large-scale conference).

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in social media management or brand marketing, preferably within a scientific, academic, or tech-heavy environment.
• Demonstrated experience in growing digital presence and executing successful multi-channel campaigns.

• Proven experience managing institutional or corporate social media accounts (B2B or Research/Tech experience preferred).
• Exceptional writing and editing skills with a flair for making complex technical topics clear and compelling for a general audience.
• Experience in social listening to identify emerging trends in Data, AI, and Computing, ensuring the Institute remains a relevant part of global conversations.
• Proven track record in social media strategy, audience growth, and meaningful community engagement.
• Proficiency in content production tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms and using Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) for content ideation, copywriting, and rapid prototyping of visual assets.
• Ability to interpret social media metrics to pivot strategies and report on ROI to management.
• Strong organisational and project management skills; ability to navigate a complex stakeholder environment and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

The Role

This position will oversee all aspects of support for the Media Sales team in their sales activities.  He or she will act as the central operational point for all media sales processes, ensuring deals progress smoothly through internal approval, contracting and AFC sign-off stages by maintaining clear trackers, timelines and process discipline.  The role also demands communication responsibilities with the AFC Commercial team on various aspects of the sales process. 

Key Responsibilities

Media Sales Support

• Help to draft media deal recommendation documents in aprofessional, accurate and timely manner, ensuring alignment with the Media Commercial Concept, rights frameworks and approval requirements.
• Provide end-to-end support on contracting and agreement negotiations, including coordination with the Legal department as well as managing the handover of executed agreements to Finance and Media Account Management teams for billing, reporting and ongoing delivery.
• Own the management and upkeep of media sales documentation, including deal trackers, fee overview files, contract repositories and approval records.
• Coordinate and schedule internal and external meetings related to media sales processes, including deal reviews, legal discussions, AFC approvals and partner negotiations, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and informed.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with Media Sales and Legal teams, becoming a trusted source of information on media processes, rights structures and deal status.
• Support the Media Sales team by helping to research topics that are needed to prepare Sales Plans, Market Overviews, Media Commercial Concept, Media Debrief etc., and work alongside AFG’s Business Intelligence department.
• Support Media Sales in preparing sales presentations and other materials.

AFC Liaison and Deal Processing

• Serve as a point of contact for the AFC Commercial team on all media-related processes, queries and requests, facilitating clear communication and efficient issue resolution.
• Coordinate the preparation, review and circulation of deal materials between internal teams and the AFC to support timely approvals and contract execution.
