Our client, a respected provider of education programmes, is seeking an experienced PR & Communications Manager to lead marketing initiatives and strengthen their market presence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify and position senior leadership for media opportunities such as interviews, features, and speaking engagements across relevant business, education, and parenting platforms.
• Secure positive media coverage across mainstream and niche outlets to strengthen brand visibility and thought leadership.
• Develop leadership voice narratives and thought leadership content for platforms such as LinkedIn and internal communication channels.
• Plan and maintain a corporate communications calendar to ensure consistent and timely messaging.
• Draft clear, engaging, and brand-aligned communications for internal stakeholders and external audiences.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with media contacts across education, business, lifestyle, and consumer sectors.
• Organise media briefings, networking sessions, and engagements with leadership teams to strengthen media partnerships.
• Provide end-to-end communications and PR support for key corporate events, including launches, campaigns, and milestone celebrations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing
• 6–8 years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, or public relations in either agency or in-house environments.
• Strong media relations experience with the ability to develop compelling stories and secure media coverage.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft content across multiple communication formats.
• Strong project management, stakeholder management, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Minor Hotels is seeking a creative, trend-savvy Social Media Manager/ Content Creator to lead the always-on social presence for priority properties across Australasia.

This role blends strategic platform management with hands-on content creation, capturing and producing high-performing, social-first content across TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. Working closely with the Director of Brand Marketing and wider Marketing team, you will ensure content remains visually elevated, platform-native and culturally relevant while driving engagement and audience growth across our hotel brands.

What You Will Do

Social Channel Management

• Manage daily publishing across Instagram, TikTok and Facebook channels.

Content Creation

• Capture and produce short-form video and photography across priority hotels.

• Travel across priority hotels to capture on-property content and experiences.

Platform Growth

• Identify emerging social trends, formats and platform opportunities.

• Test new content formats and continuously refine social strategy.

Collaboration

• Partner with hotel teams to identify compelling content opportunities.

Job Summary

The Event Operations Manager is responsible for the seamless execution of all live performances, private events, and daily operations within the venue. This role bridges the gap between administrative planning and real-time production, ensuring that artist requirements, safety protocols, and guest experiences are maintained at the highest professional standards. The successful candidate will oversee a multidisciplinary team and manage the venue's logistical framework to ensure operational efficiency and financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Planning & Execution

• Production Advancement: Review and finalize technical riders, stage plots, and hospitality requirements with artists and tour management.

• Run of Show Management: Direct all phases of the event day, including load-in, soundcheck, doors, performance, and load-out.

• Resource Allocation: Oversee the procurement and maintenance of venue equipment, including audio-visual gear, furniture, and POS systems.

2. Team Leadership & Personnel

• Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and manage front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) teams, including security, bar staff, box office, and stage crews.

• Scheduling: Create and manage labor schedules to optimize coverage while maintaining strict adherence to budgetary labor caps.

• Performance Management: Conduct regular briefings and performance reviews to ensure service standards align with company KPIs.

3. Compliance, Safety, and Security

• Risk Management: Act as the primary Floor Warden, ensuring compliance with fire codes, capacity limits, and occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations.

• Legal Compliance: Oversee strict adherence to liquor licensing laws and age-verification protocols.

• Incident Reporting: Document and manage all on-site incidents, ensuring appropriate follow-up with management or local authorities.

4. Financial Management

• Settlement: Execute night-of-show financial settlements with artists and promoters.

• Inventory Control: Monitor liquor and supplies inventory, managing pour costs and waste reduction.

• Revenue Oversight: Reconcile nightly box office and bar receipts, ensuring accurate cash handling and digital transaction reporting.

Ad Hoc Responsibilities

Due to the dynamic nature of live entertainment, the Event Operations Manager is expected to perform "as-needed" duties, including but not limited to:

• Crisis Intervention: Providing immediate troubleshooting for technical failures or facilities emergencies.

• Talent Relations: Facilitating emergency artist transportation or sourcing specific backline equipment on short notice.

• Marketing Liaison: Coordinating with the marketing team for last-minute promotional activations or VIP guest list management.

• Facility Maintenance: Coordinating immediate repairs or third-party contractors for urgent venue infrastructure issues.
  

  Any other ad hoc tasks assigned.

Skills

• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of management experience in a live music venue, theater, or high-volume hospitality environment.

• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and de-escalate high-pressure situations.
