Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY

RAC is hiring a Functional Interface Designer to produce integration design documentation for Oracle HCM implementations. This is a functional — not a developer — role. You will map HR data flows between Oracle HCM and third-party systems, produce Interface Design Documents, support integration testing, and maintain the interface inventory for your assigned engagement.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Elicit integration requirements from client HR and IT stakeholders — running interface workshops that go beyond what data flows where to capture trigger, frequency, error ownership, rejection handling, and the business consequence of a delayed or failed interface
• Produce complete Interface Design Documents for every in-scope integration — covering source and target systems, trigger, direction, frequency, field-level mapping with transformation rules and code conversions, error handling approach, volume estimates, and the reconciliation method
• Map Oracle HCM data objects to target system fields — knowing what is available via REST API, HCM Extract, and SOAP service respectively, and flagging mapping gaps where Oracle does not hold the attribute the target system needs

POSITION SUMMARY

RAC is seeking a Senior Functional Interface Designer to lead the integration design workstream on Oracle HCM implementations. You will own the end-to-end interface catalogue — from requirements elicitation and IDD production through developer handoff, testing, and UAT sign-off — acting as the functional integration authority for the delivery team and the primary interface contact for the client's IT architecture team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Own the integration catalogue from day one — producing the full interface inventory within the first two weeks of design phase, classifying each interface by pattern, direction, criticality, and third-party owner, and maintaining it as the single source of truth throughout the project
• Lead integration requirements workshops — extracting trigger conditions, error handling expectations, SLA requirements, and business consequence of failure, and producing workshop outputs that flow directly into IDD authoring
• Produce and own all Interface Design Documents — at a level of precision that an OIC developer can build from without functional re-engagement, with a client IT sign-off process before development begins
• Drive interface prioritisation and phasing — recommending development sequence based on go-live criticality, third-party readiness, and data migration dependencies, and escalating when a third-party team is blocking sign-off
• Review and approve OIC developer builds against IDD specifications — logging formal defects with reference to specific IDD fields and distinguishing design deviations from legitimate technical implementation decisions
• Own integration UAT — designing the test plan, coordinating third-party test environment availability, and driving defect resolution to formal sign-off

• 4–5 years of Oracle HCM experience with proven interface design workstream ownership on at least two implementations through to UAT sign-off
• Experience owning and managing an interface catalogue of 10+ integrations on a single engagement
• Demonstrated developer QA experience — has reviewed built integrations against specifications, raised formal defects, and managed rework to sign-off
• Ability to manage third-party system teams and escalate through the project governance structure when external dependencies are blocking progress
• Ability to present integration workstream status, risk, and readiness to client IT Directors and project leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Oracle Cloud Platform Application Integration 2025 Professional — the OIC certification; at Senior Interface Designer level this is an expected credential, not aspirational
• Oracle Global Human Resources Cloud Implementation Professional — Senior interface leads who hold the Core HR module certification can independently validate data availability against the Oracle HCM object model without escalating to the functional team
• Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications HCM Process Essentials certified — the foundational HCM credential confirming cross-module process understanding
• Experience designing interfaces between Oracle HCM and Oracle ERP, or between Oracle HCM and third-party payroll, HRIS, or access management systems in APAC

RAC is looking for a Functional PaaS Designer with Oracle HCM Application Composer and Page Composer experience. This is a functional delivery role — not a developer position. You will extend Oracle HCM using Oracle's low-code extensibility layer to meet client requirements beyond standard configuration, govern the extension catalogue, and produce developer-handoff specifications that are precise enough to build from without interpretation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Govern the extension decision framework — assessing every non-standard requirement against the hierarchy of options and recommending the approach that solves the requirement with the least implementation risk and the smallest upgrade footprint
• Configure Oracle Application Composer custom objects — designing top-level and child business objects, defining field types, configuring field-level validation logic, and integrating custom objects with Oracle HCM's standard approval and notification framework
• Configure Page Composer and Page Designer to customise HCM UI layouts — adding hints, making fields conditionally required, hiding fields from specific user populations, and reordering page sections across both Redwood and non-Redwood pages
• Own sandbox management governance — defining the sandbox strategy, managing conflict resolution when parallel configuration streams affect the same pages, and preventing the most destructive sandbox mistake: publishing a sandbox that overwrites another team's approved configuration
• Produce Extension Design Documents at a precision level that allows a developer to build without re-engagement — including upgrade-safety notes that tell the client's support team which extensions require post-patch regression testing
• Advise on Groovy scripting requirements — translating business rules into scripting specifications for developer implementation and reviewing delivered scripts for logical correctness against the original requirement

• Client advisory experience — has presented extension options and their trade-offs to business stakeholders and defended the recommendation

• Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications HCM Process Essentials certified — the foundational HCM credential; at Senior level this is a baseline expectation
• Oracle Global Human Resources Cloud Implementation Professional — PaaS extensions are built on top of Core HR; module depth is essential for designing extensions that survive quarterly updates
• Oracle Cloud Platform Application Integration 2024 Specialist — for consultants who extend into OIC-based custom UI integrations beyond Application Composer
• Groovy scripting certification or demonstrable project experience — Oracle's Application Composer Groovy API is not formally certified but hands-on project evidence is the equivalent signal
