Key Requirements:

      Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

      At least 5 years of experience in the financial services domain. Private banking or Wealth management domain is a big plus

       10+ years of hands-on experience in Java 17 or higher especially on Spring boot 3 development, with demonstrated ownership of complex systems in enterprise environments. Prior experience in using UFW Java framework is big plus

       Strong proficiency with Oracle Database, including advanced SQL and PL/SQL, data modeling, query optimization, transaction management, and integration via ORM technologies(Spring JPA) and JDBC.

The role

This Service Management role is responsible for the maintenance, configuration and development of the Firm's IT Service Management tool, ServiceNow. This involves working within an agreed governance model to translate the requirements of process owners and other key contacts into a live implementation. Support & Client Focus

• Help deliver the service management roadmap, which is aiming to deliver a number of self-service, automation and orchestration initiatives.

What you will do

On a day-to-day basis, the role will work on configuration and development tasks in the ServiceNow tool including, but not limited to, security, workflow, data management, development and integration of 3rd party tools.  This may be in the ITSM Module (Clifford Chance uses ITSM Pro) or on a variety of custom applications.

As part of this work, the analyst will be responsible for ensuring that core data integrity is maintained by adhering to a common, agreed taxonomy and naming convention.

• Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and production deployment activities

Collaboration & Project Support

• Collaborate with team members to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Support data migration and integration projects under supervision
• Support specific client data migration and integration initiatives as assigned
• Work closely with senior developers and project managers to deliver project milestones
• Participate in project planning sessions and provide effort estimates for assigned tasks
• Assist in data profiling and analysis activities for project requirements
• Contribute to project documentation including technical design documents and user guides
• Participate in client meetings and requirement gathering sessions when required

The ideal candidate should possess:

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Strong foundation in Java programming concepts and object-oriented programming
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts (queries, joins, stored procedures)
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software development principles
• Basic knowledge of ETL concepts and data integration processes
• Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server)

Preferred Technical Experience

• Hands-on experience with Talend Open Studio or Talend Data Integration (through internship, projects, or self-learning)
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies
• Understanding of XML, JSON, and web services (REST/SOAP)
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN)
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell scripting)
• Academic projects involving data integration or database development

Education Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience
