We’re seeking a confident and driven Assistant Front Office Manager to support the leadership of our Front Office team and help deliver exceptional guest experiences from arrival to departure.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone ready to take the next step in their career within a boutique hotel environment. You’ll work closely with the Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, lead and develop the team, and ensure service standards are consistently delivered at the highest level.

As Assistant Front Office Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Front Office Manager in leading Sydney’s largest Accor midscale hotel Front Office teams - including Reception, Guest Experience, Porters/Concierge, Switchboard, and Assistant Managers.

• You’ll help develop and empower our team of Heartists, working collaboratively across departments to deliver exceptional guest experiences and create memorable moments that reflect our brand values.
• Support the Front Office Manager in daily operations and team leadership.
• Provide outstanding guest service, proactively resolving issues with care and professionalism.
• Assist in monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics, driving continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of front office procedures and service standards.
• Partner with the Front Office Manager on loyalty recruitment, projects, and guest experience initiatives across the hotel.
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for both guests and team members, ensuring every interaction is a peak moment.

The purpose of this role is to contribute to the ongoing improvement and development of our product, through domain driven design and continuous deployment of high quality software code.

What your day to day will look like:

• Collaborate with front-end developers and other cross-functional team members to design functional, cohesive solutions that ship valuable features at scale
• Develop APIs and integrate  data from various back end services & databases
• Compile and analyze data, processes, and code to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement
• Record data and reporting it to proper parties, such as clients or leadership
• Participate in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new techniques and patterns, , and better assist other team members
• Developing back-end functionality and assisting the Lead developer
• Providing guidance on projects, as needed
• Participating in research, producing POCs, and evaluating new methodologies and technologies that improve quality, reliability, scalability, security, and performance of Ignition technology, architecture, and product
• Actively participate in code reviews by providing constructive comments and sharing and adopting best practices, to improve codebase quality, efficiency, and security
• Mentor and guide developers by providing quality coaching and guiding proper execution of their tasks
• Commit to supporting a safe, mindful, and productive team environment, maintaining open, honest, and respectful communication
