RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Management Intern to support our facilities team in ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained work environment. This internship provides hands-on experience in facility operations, maintenance coordination, and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in daily facilities operations, including maintenance requests and space management.
• Support the coordination of facility repairs and liaise with vendors and service providers.
• Conduct inspections of office spaces and report any maintenance issues.
• Assist in tracking and updating facilities-related records and documentation.

The Role

We are seeking a hands-on Machine Learning Engineer Intern to join our Model Engineering Team with a focus on Computer Vision and modern AI. This role is designed for builders who are passionate about training deep learning models, refining architectures, and scaling real-world vision systems.

You will work closely with experienced engineers on production-grade models, ranging from standard object detectors to cutting-edge zero-shot and open-vocabulary architectures. This is an ideal role for those who enjoy running experiments, analysing model behaviour, and driving measurable performance improvements.

What You’ll Do

• Model Training & Fine-Tuning: Train, evaluate, and improve deep learning models across a variety of tasks, including classification, object detection, segmentation, and action recognition.
• Architecture & AI Exploration: Research and experiment with CNNs, Transformers, and Foundation Models. You will explore the integration of modern AI to enhance open-vocabulary detection and zero-shot capabilities.
• Failure Analysis & Data Refinement: Debug model failures (false positives/negatives) and implement solutions through targeted data annotation, cleaning, or improved inference strategies to ensure model robustness.
• Data & ML Engineering: Manage large-scale datasets, including preprocessing and versioning, to ensure high-fidelity and reproducible experiments.
• Pipeline Automation: Contribute to the development and optimization of automated training and evaluation pipelines to improve reliability and deployment efficiency.

Position: Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Designer

Location: Singapore

Duration: 1 Year (Extendable)

Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Design Engineer to join our team in Singapore for a one-year contract, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of I&C systems for our projects. This role requires a strong understanding of instrumentation principles, control systems, and relevant industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

**Detailed Design & Drafting:** Prepare and develop a wide array of Instrumentation & Control drawings and documents for Combined Cycle, Cogen, and Thermal Power Plants, including but not limited to:

Plant Control System Configuration diagrams

Control Room and Electronic Equipment Room layouts

Instrument and Junction Box location plans

Instrument and Control Cable schedules

Instrument cable routing drawings

Instrument Hook-up drawings

Instrument Loop diagrams

Instrument Grounding drawings

Control Logic Diagrams

CCTV and Communication system block diagrams and layouts

**Bill of Quantities (BOQ) Estimation:** Accurately estimate Instrument BOQ for junction boxes, instrument installation materials, instrument & control cables, and communication cables.

**3D Modelling Input:** Provide essential inputs for the 3D modelling of instrumentation items to support piping design.

**Schedule Management:** Proactively monitor drawing schedules, ensuring timely submission of all drawings and documents to the project coordinator to meet project milestones.

**Interdisciplinary Collaboration:** Foster effective collaboration and coordination with various engineering disciplines (e.g., electrical, mechanical, piping) and the site team throughout the detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning phases.

**Software Proficiency:** Utilize industry-standard software for design and documentation tasks, with a strong preference for Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI).

**Compliance & Standards:** Ensure all designs and documentation strictly adhere to relevant industry standards, best practices, and specific Singapore regulations.

**Ad-hoc Duties:** Perform other duties as assigned by management, contributing to overall project success.

Qualifications:

**Education:** Diploma in Instrumentation and Control Systems or an equivalent qualification.

**Experience:** A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in EPC power plant and/or industrial plant projects.

**Regulatory Knowledge:** Strong familiarity with Singapore regulations and practices pertaining to instrumentation and control within power generation facilities.

**Technical Expertise:** Proven hands-on experience in the detailed design and drafting of the I&C drawings and documents as outlined in the responsibilities section.

**Core Knowledge:** Sound theoretical and practical knowledge of instrumentation and control principles and their applications in power plants.

**Software Skills:** Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) is essential. Experience with industrial software such as Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) is highly desirable.

**Interpersonal Skills:** Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment.

**Analytical Acumen:** Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities to address complex design challenges effectively.

About our client: Our client is a leading global oil & gas company specializing in offshore platform engineering and construction.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work:

• Support the Instrument design team to implement and complete the FEED and Detail Design work for FPSO / FPU topsides modules.
• Guide junior engineers and review their deliverables.
• Check instrument data sheets, specifications, drawings, and Material Take-Offs (MTOs).
• Responsible for technical management of assigned ICSS and F&G packages, as well as Control Narratives. In charge of instrument equipment layouts, 3D models, I/O lists, control valve selection, cable sizing, and cable tray routing.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines to ensure seamless integration of instrumentation and control systems in topside modules.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Shipbuilding, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a closely related engineering discipline, with at least 8 years of relevant experience in FPSO / FPU or offshore oil & gas projects.
• Proven experience in FEED and Detailed Design of instrumentation, ICSS, and safety systems, including field instruments, control logic, and Control Narratives. Hands-on experience in instrumentation layouts, 3D model integration, I/O assignment, cable routing, control valves, and junction boxes.
• Familiarity with Classification Rules and offshore standards/regulations such as DNV, ABS, API, NORSOK, and IEC.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure design deliverables comply with project schedules and technical requirements.
• Hands-on experience using Intools, a widely used engineering software for instrumentation and control system design, management, and documentation in offshoreoil & gas projects.
• Key responsibilities using Intools include: Maintaining instrument indices and datasheets for field devices. Designing and documenting instrument loops, interlocks, and control logic. Mapping I/O signals between field instruments, control panels, and DCS/PLC systems. Supporting cable routing, sizing, and junction box planning. Generating loop diagrams, datasheets, BOMs, and reports for project review, approvals, and handover.
• Proficiency in Intools ensures accurate, consistent, and compliant instrumentation and ICSS designs across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
