Role Overview
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and optimization of auxiliary equipment that supports Neptune’s robotic hull-cleaning operations. This includes shore-based systems, support machinery, and peripheral devices that ensure smooth deployment and service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on auxiliary systems
- Monitoring & Diagnostics: Conduct inspections, identify faults, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
- Technical Support: Provide on-site and remote support for operations teams during robotic fleet deployment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and equipment performance.
- Compliance: Ensure all auxiliary equipment meets maritime safety and environmental standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend upgrades and process improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in maritime or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of auxiliary systems such electrical supply.
- Hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Familiarity with robotics or maritime technology is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Safety-conscious and proactive in risk management.
- Adaptable to fast-paced, innovative environments.
