We are looking for you,
Head of Production line, Pre-treatment (PTU) / Waste Water Treatment (WWT)
to join our Singapore Renewable Refining team in Neste Singapore Tuas Refinery.
You will focus on leading the operations in Singapore Renewables Refinery Production line (PTU/WWT) targeting to deliver given objectives. These objectives include safe, reliable and profitable operation. In this job you will work closely with internal stakeholders and in addition with auditors, country / local authorities, contractors, partners, and customers.
The Neste refinery, set up in Tuas in 2010, enables seamless transportation of raw materials and renewable products globally. Singapore refinery produces renewable diesel and renewable feedstock for polymers and chemicals, and sustainable aviation fuel. The refinery has additional capabilities to process more challenging wastes and residue raw materials and will have its own hydrogen production unit. Singapore refinery is the world’s biggest renewable diesel refinery, as well as the world's largest producer of sustainable aviation fuel, in terms of capacity.

Your role in our team
- Lead the Production line (Pretreatment/PTU and Waste Water Treatment/WWT) operations to ensure safe, reliable, and profitable operations while maintaining full compliance with global and local regulatory requirements.
Lead the production line leadership team and broader organization to foster an inclusive, high-engagement culture that drives talent development, succession planning, and upskilling in renewable technologies.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in refinery profitability, safety and operational excellence
Lead and improve asset utilization and reliability to consistently elevate refinery performance and deliver a positive impact on the bottom line.
Oversee the production line P&L and cost-efficiency initiatives, leveraging rigorous performance management and clear KPIs to meet financial and operational objectives.
Serve as an active member of the refinery Leadership Team and lead cross-functional collaboration to drive Neste culture. Reports directly to VP, Refining Singapore
Key requirements to success in this role
Masters / Bachelor Degree in appropriate engineering field, from an accredited college/university (preferably Chemical Engineering)
More than 15 years’ relevant experience in oil refinery, petrochemicals or chemical processing out of which minimum of 10 years’ experience in managerial / leadership position.
Hands on senior leadership experience from pretreating oils and fats(PTU processes) and processing waste waters, having a deep technical grasp of the specific success factors and challenges inherent in this technology.
Good understanding of end-to-end value optimization in raw materials pretreatment and waste water treatment processes
Demonstrated success of leading and developing a high performing leadership team and multidisciplinary local production organization
Proven track record of building site-wide refining capabilities, safety, excellence and driving performance management, accountability, and employee engagement
Demonstrated success in maintaining full operational transparency with management through timely escalations, progress updates, and consistent information sharing.
