Position title : Financial Controller 

Location: Admiralty street
Working Days:  5 Day A Week
Working hours : 9:00am - 6:00pm
Salary : $10k - $12k (depends experience)

Responsibilities:

Strategic Finance Leadership & Business Partnership

• Serve as the principal finance partner to the CEO and CFO, providing forward-looking insights, analysis, and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Prepare high-quality financial materials, analyses, and presentations, and participate in executive and management meetings as required.

Company Finance Operations & Oversight

• Lead the Company’s corporate finance functions, including corporate reporting, FP&A, treasury, tax, and working capital management.
• Drive strong financial discipline across the organization, including oversight of cost structures, margin and yield-related financial analysis, capital expenditure governance, and operational financial performance.
• Strengthen finance operating models, systems, processes, and workflows to enhance efficiency, scalability, and data integrity.
• Drive the automation and digitalization of financial processes to improve productivity and reporting quality.

Financial Planning, Performance Management & Controls

• Lead robust budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes across the Company.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting to executive management.
• Act as the primary management interface with external auditors, advisors, and regulatory bodies.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to support strategic initiatives, transformation programs, and enterprise-wide projects.

Requirements:

• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CA.
• Senior finance leader with deep experience in corporate finance, financial control, and performance management within a semiconductor or manufacturing‑intensive environment.
• Proven track record in senior finance leadership roles such as Financial Controller or Finance Director with Company‑wide scope.
• Candidates with extensive exposure to manufacturing finance and operating models of similar complexity are strongly preferred.
• Strong technical grounding in Company reporting, Company FP&A, treasury and insurance, tax, and internal controls.

Product Controller – Energy & Metals

Overview

We are seeking a Product Controller to support the Energy & Metals trading business, with a strong focus on physical trading activities. The role partners closely with Front Office, Risk, and Finance to deliver accurate P&L reporting, robust controls, and commercial insight. A solid understanding of physical commodity trading is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and analyze daily P&L for physical trading desks, including clear commentary on key drivers and variances. Assist in the review of consolidated regional P&L reporting and provide insight into trading performance.

Perform monthly balance sheet substantiation, ensuring all accounts are fully supported and documented. Maintain strong financial controls and ensure the integrity of financial data.

Build relationships with Front Office, Risk, Treasury, FP&A, Tax, and Operations. Develop a strong commercial understanding of physical trading flows, logistics, and valuation methodologies, and act as a key point of contact for P&L-related queries.

Identify and implement process improvements, including automation initiatives, by working closely with technology teams to streamline manual or semi-automated processes.

Support internal and external audits, ensuring all Product Control activities are appropriately documented and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of product control processes, financial controls, and accounting principles. Proven experience in physical commodity trading (Energy and/or Metals) is essential.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.

Effective communication skills with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and Front Office.

Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Collaborative, proactive, and able to build strong working relationships across functions.

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Product Control or similar role within commodities trading. Hands-on experience in physical trading environments is required.

Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is preferred but not essential. Experience working in a regulated environment is advantageous.
