Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable and disciplined Production Chef who takes pride in following SOPs, being on time, and executing consistently at speed — while also having a good palate to ensure food tastes balanced and delicious.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals strictly according to SOPs and standardized recipes
• Maintain consistent quality across all meals (no variation)
• Meet hourly production targets efficiently
• Ensure meals are properly portioned, packed, labeled, and stored
• Follow strict food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Keep workstation clean, organized, and optimized for speed

Taste & Quality Responsibilities:

• Taste sauces and dishes during production
• Make small, controlled adjustments (salt, acidity, sweetness, moisture)
• Ensure meals taste flavorful and balanced even after reheating from frozen
• Provide practical feedback on new recipes tested weekly

Requirements

• WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 (required)
• Experience in high-volume or production-style cooking preferred
• Strong ability to follow SOPs precisely
• Highly punctual and reliable
• Able to work fast and consistently under production targets
• Good understanding of basic flavor balance (salt, fat, acid, sweetness, umami)
• Comfortable with repetitive, structured workflows
• Responsible, disciplined, and team-oriented

Compensation & Growth

Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook assigned dishes for serving according to the menu
Keep kitchen area, processing equipment, and cooking utensils clean and sanitized at all time
Process all food according to companies and government regulatory control
Able to fill in any area of kitchen at any time.
Keeping the utensils and equipments clean and sanitary.
Removing trash and storage bins
Ensure safe operations of all equipment and report any faulty equipment to superior immediately
Comply with hygiene and safety regulations set by the Company, clients and government
Perform any other related duties as assigned by immediate superior.

Job Requirements:
Proven min 2-5 years of experience as chef.
Food Hygiene cert required
Able to communicate skills and team player
Cheerful and self-motivated with positive working attitude
Able to work at a fast pace environment
Able to work on public holidays and weekends.
Able to work night shift and split shift.

Job Scope :

• Oversee daily operations of the central kitchen to ensure smooth workflow and efficiency.
• Ensure food quality, consistency, and timely order fulfilment.
• Develop and propose menus for customer enquiries, events, and tender submissions.
• Create innovative dining concepts and menu ideas for retail outlets.
• Support and manage high-profile catering events and services.
• Source and evaluate new raw materials and suppliers to maintain quality standards.
• Prepare weekly in high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Ingredient forecasts to support purchasing and inventory planning.
• Monitor food costing and ensure operations stay within budget targets.
• Manage manpower planning, control labour costs, and improve team productivity.
• Lead, train, and develop a team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants
