Project Security Systems Engineer [Camps Project] X2

• Location Office at Outram Road| Project will be Islandwide depending on assigned project

Overall Objective:

• Project Engineers will be responsible for leading and managing projects for security equipment installation, testing, commissioning and system programming in accordance to required standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead and direct projects and ensure they are directed towards a common objective
• Engage and communicate with stakeholders to deliver project milestones and comply with strict deadlines
• Ensure client satisfaction and manage escalations, acting as point of contact to the client
• Ensure that the project delivers as-sold solution, remains within the baseline budget and is delivered on time whilst maintaining quality criteria and client satisfaction
• Coordinate activities of the project teams through task delegation, resource assignment and programme management
• Ensure proper documentation is in order
• Any other duties as assigned

Job Requirement:

• Minimum Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering or related field
• Preferably with 2 years’ relevant work experience in project management for security systems

We seek a motivated Security Platform Engineer skilled in Fortinet SIEM onboarding, patching, use case creation, and SentinelOne agent management. The role supports cybersecurity initiatives by managing FortiSOAR, Orca Security, and Palo Alto platforms to maintain security infrastructure integrity.

Responsibilities

• Onboard and patch Fortinet SIEM solutions to enhance threat detection and security monitoring capabilities
• Develop and tune use cases within Fortinet SIEM to improve incident detection and response accuracy
• Manage SentinelOne endpoint protection agents, including patching and operational maintenance to ensure endpoint security
• Operate FortiSOAR for security orchestration, automation, and response to streamline incident handling processes
• Utilize Orca Security or equivalent cloud security posture management tools to assess and improve cloud security posture
• Engineer Palo Alto Networks platforms, including Cortex XSIAM/XDR and ideally XSOAR, by integrating data sources, tuning detection content, performing upgrades, and troubleshooting issues

Required competencies and certifications

• Proven experience with Fortinet SIEM solutions, including onboarding, patching, and use case development

• Familiarity with FortiSOAR for security orchestration, automation, and response
• Experience with Orca Security or similar cloud security posture management tools
• Demonstrated experience engineering Palo Alto Networks platforms, especially Cortex XSIAM/XDR and ideally XSOAR, including integrations, data onboarding, content tuning, upgrades, and troubleshooting

The engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure web access solutions while supporting enterprise security policies, threat protection, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Proxy Infrastructure Management

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Squid Proxy, Bluecoat ProxySG, and Zscaler ZIA solutions.
• Optimize proxy performance, caching, load-balancing, and traffic routing.
• Develop rules, policies, and filters for secure web access control.

Security Operations

• Monitor and analyze web traffic logs to detect anomalies, threats, or policy violations.
• Investigate proxy-related security incidents and provide remediation.
• Implement URL filtering, SSL inspection, DLP controls, and threat prevention mechanisms.

Technology Integration

• Integrate proxy solutions with authentication systems (LDAP, AD, SAML).
• Collaborate with Network, SOC, and Cloud teams to support security controls across hybrid environments.
• Support integration with SIEM platforms for log forwarding and analytics.

Policy & Governance

• Maintain security configuration baselines, documentation, and SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, MAS TRM, GDPR).
• Support periodic audits and risk assessments.

Troubleshooting & Support

• Provide Level 2/3 support for proxy-related issues.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and access control issues across distributed environments.
• Work with vendors (e.g., Broadcom, Zscaler) for escalated support cases.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–8 years of experience in IT Security, Network Security, or related roles.
• CCIE Certification is preferred.
• Hands-on expertise with Squid Proxy, Bluecoat ProxySG/ASG, and Zscaler ZIA.
• Strong understanding of: Web protocols (HTTP/HTTPS)SSL/TLS inspection Web filtering & threat protection Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing)
• Experience with enterprise logging, SIEM integration, and security monitoring.
• Familiarity with Linux environments (for Squid).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• 24/7 Rotating shift and on call support is required for this role.
