Roles and Responsibilities:

As a fresh engineer, your primary responsibility will be to learn and participate in the creation of new products and enhancements to existing products from requirement to launch as part of a cross functional team involved in the development of equipment control and automation SW. You are required to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, sustain and document software changes for new requirements, enhancements to existing functionality and defects as directed by your leads.

• Perform analysis, design and implementation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, processes, and product / program requirements

• Troubleshoot variety of complex software problems

• Provide timely status updates and proactive communications on issues to the stakeholders.

• Able to interface with internal stake holders regarding software issues.

• Have the willingness to acquire in-depth understanding of domain and existing products (beyond software) and apply that knowledge to develop new products and to deliver enhancements/ fixes for customer requirements. 

Experience, Skills and Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science/Information Science/Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation

• Strong C, C+ programming on Windows platforms using Microsoft technologies

• Sound knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals – data structures, algorithms, operating system concepts

• Excellent analytical skills, methodical problem-solving skills and troubleshooting skills

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to interact with extended teams spread across the globe.

• Self-motivated and willing to learn new skills and technologies as needed

About the Division:

Common Systems Software Group is part of the Silicon Products Group and is responsible for Design, Development, Test and Support of Supervisory Control System Software that is used to control the Wafer Fabrication Equipment (WFE) made by Applied Materials.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing proper repairs of all unserviceable equipment for which he/she has been trained or assigned to perform and acting also as a technical resource in analysis of failures when required.

• Performing proper tests, repairs and modifications of unserviceable equipment in compliance with Thales Solutions Asia Quality programs as well as relevant procedures issued by Industrial Quality dept or the ARU Manager.

• Respecting the TAT target as given by the ARU Manager for all repair and/or modification activities.

• Maintenance and calibration of test means or equipment whenever necessary with the support of M&T dept.

• Maintaining an up to date knowledge of the product worked on with relevant technical documentation like SBs, SILs, TIs and updates of the CMM.

• Ensures the On-Time delivery of repairs and Quality of repairs

• Contributes to continuous improvement actions

Job Requirements:

• Higher Nitec/Diploma in Electronics Engineering

• Possess strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics.

• Competent in the use of in-depth diagnostic theory and technique.
