ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Support development of dashboards and automated reports for production KPIs (UPH, OEE, Yield, Downtime).
• Assist in collecting, cleaning, and validating production data from multiple systems.
• Support automation of manual reporting processes using Excel, Power Automate, or similar tools.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends and highlight improvement opportunities.
• Assist in system testing, documentation, and user training materials for digital tools.
• Support project tracking activities (update status, follow up on action items).
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to understand manufacturing requirements.

Role Overview

This role is not about running tests. It is about understanding what the data means, why it behaves that way, and how to measure it better. You will work at the intersection of physics, electronics, and software, developing measurement solutions and extracting insight from complex data to support MEMS sensor development and production. This role is for you if you are comfortable writing code, interpreting data, and critically questioning measurement results.

Key Responsibilities

Characterization & Data Analysis

• Analyze large, datasets from MEMS characterisation and production
• Identify correlations, drifts, and non-obvious effects across multiple parameters
• Separate real physical effects from measurement artefacts
• Develop automated analysis workflows (Python / C# / similar)

Measurement Technology Development

• Design, build, and improve lab measurement setups (electrical, thermal, mechanical domains)
• Define measurement strategies for new product concepts and production methods
• Debug and extend internally developed measurement software (C++ / C#)
• Improve measurement robustness, repeatability, and throughput

Root Cause & Physical Understanding

• Drive root-cause analysis using data, experiments, and physical reasoning
• Work closely with product and process engineers to explain observed behavior
• Challenge unclear or inconsistent results

Method Validation & Lab Enablement

• Validate new test methods before production introduction
• Define limitations, accuracy, and uncertainty of measurement methods

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to take technical ownership of embedded firmware and system software that power autonomous and connected vehicle platforms. In this role, you will work across the full lifecycle, from early hardware bring-up and system architecture through field deployment and fleet updates, playing a key role in shaping the future of AGEO's autonomous systems.

What you'll do:

• Develop embedded firmware for custom ECUs and IoT devices used in vehicle platforms - from initial hardware bring-up through production deployment
• Write device drivers and integration layers for sensors and communication modules including GNSS receivers, LoRa/LoRaWAN modules, cellular modems, CAN/J1939 buses, etc.
• Build and maintain ROS2-based applications running on embedded Linux platforms, including containerized workloads and OTA update pipelines
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers during schematic review, PCB bring-up, and hardware-software co-debugging on custom designs
• Define and maintain firmware architecture, interface specifications, and test procedures to ensure reliability, robustness, and maintainability in harsh field environments
• Lead improvements to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release processes for embedded firmware

What we're looking for (Requirements):

• Strong C/C++ for embedded systems (bare metal, RTOS, and embedded Linux)
• Experience designing and maintaining production-grade embedded firmware with real hardware constraints
• Experience deploying containerized applications (Docker or equivalent)
• Experience working with embedded interfaces and buses: I2C, SPI, UART, CAN/CAN FD
• Experience with network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, MQTT
• Experience with LoRa/LoRaWAN or other wireless communication protocols
• Proficiency using hardware debug and validation tools (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeter, etc.)
• Ability to read schematics, interpret IC datasheets, and work effectively at the hardware-software boundary
• Solid Git workflow for collaborative development and code review
• Good communication skills
• 4+ years of embedded software development experience

Education and Experience:

Some of your duties will include:

Belt Conveyor Maintenance & Repair

• Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of belt conveyor systems across Concentrator 1 and Concentrator 2.
• Conduct belt splicing (hot and cold), belt replacement, patching, and repair according to OEM standards.
• Carry out conveyor alignment, tensioning, and tracking adjustments to ensure optimal operation.
• Inspect and maintain conveyor components including pulleys, rollers, idlers, skirts, chutes, scrapers, take-up systems, and drive units.

Diagnostics & Technical Problem Solving

• Identify mechanical faults, diagnose root causes, and recommend corrective actions for conveyor failures.
• Assist in planning and executing corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
• Monitor equipment condition and report potential issues before they lead to breakdowns.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks in accordance with maintenance plans and SOPs.
• Record inspection findings, measurement data, and equipment condition in maintenance logs/CMMS.
• Support predictive maintenance programs (vibration, wear, structural inspection).

Safety & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Indonesian mining safety regulations and internal safety standards.
• Implement safe work practices during belt replacement, lifting, isolation/LOTO, and work around moving equipment.
• Participate in safety toolbox meetings, risk assessments, and incident prevention activities.

Technical Documentation & Reporting

• Complete maintenance reports, job sheets, inspection forms, and belt splicing documentation accurately.
• Update work orders in the maintenance system (Ellipse or equivalent).
• Provide feedback to supervisors regarding repeated failures and improvement opportunities.

Collaboration & Coordination

• Coordinate closely with other technicians, supervisors, and operations teams to minimize equipment downtime.
• Support shutdown activities, emergency repairs, and cross-department maintenance tasks.
• Communicate clearly regarding work progress, material requirements, and operational constraints.

Equipment & Tools Management

• Ensure proper use, care, and storage of specialized tools such as belt cutters, vulcanizing machines, alignment lasers, tension meters, and lifting devices.
• Report damaged or missing tools and maintain readiness of maintenance equipment.

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to reliability improvement initiatives related to conveyor systems.
• Recommend improvements to procedures, work methods, and maintenance practices.

Support to Expansion Projects

• Assist in commissioning work, installation support, and mechanical checks during plant expansion or conveyor upgrades.
