Purpose of the Role
To lead and manage the financial operations of the Singapore region, ensuring compliance with local regulations, optimising financial performance, and supporting strategic initiatives. The role bridges South African HQ expectations with Singapore’s operational realities, including system transitions and process localisation.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly flash reports, actuals, and management accounts.
- Analyse income statements and balance sheets with commentary on key variances.
- Submit monthly financial packs to HQ
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure adherence to Singapore’s statutory requirements (IRAS, GST, CPF).
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax agents.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
Operational Finance
- Oversee AP/AR processes, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management.
- Manage payroll preparation and review, including CPF contributions.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with Singapore-based managers to align financial processes with local operations.
- Conduct monthly management reviews and stock take reviews.
