As a Solution Engineer in the AI Business Solutions – Copilot team, you will lead technical engagements that drive AI transformation for enterprise customers. Your mission is to win technical decisions and accelerate adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Chat, Copilot Studio & Agents, and related solutions by delivering compelling demos, envisioning sessions, and scalable architectures. You will act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through secure, compliant, and value-driven implementations that align with their enterprise strategies.

This role is pivotal in shaping the future of work by enabling customers to realize the full potential of AI-powered productivity. You will collaborate closely with sales, customer success, engineering, and partner teams to remove technical blockers, generate pipeline, and ensure seamless handoffs for deployment and adoption. Your success will be measured by technical wins, customer adoption, partner engagement, and your contributions to a high-performance, learning-oriented team culture

• Drive AI transformation by orchestrating complex technical engagements across multiple stakeholders.
• Lead architecture design for secure, scalable solutions aligned with enterprise strategy.
• Influence product and go-to-market strategy by providing structured feedback to engineering and sales leadership.
• Proactively identify and escalate unresolved technical blockers through formal channels.
• Champion compliance, diversity, and inclusion by modeling ethical behavior and inclusive practices

Responsibilities

• Lead AI transformation engagements (e.g. demos, pilots) to win technical decisions and drive customer commitment to Copilot/Agents, including documented adoption plans and a smooth hand-off to Customer Success/partners for usage onboarding.
• Support AI Workforce SSP hunting effort by engaging w/customer contacts, lead qual., and partner co-sell opportunities
• Assist in ME3 & ME5 & ME7 upsell opportunities
• Generate new pipeline and competitive wins for M365 Copilot, Copilot Chat, Copilot Studio & Agents, ME3, ME5, ME7 and Frontline Worker by delivering impactful AI-powered demos/Art-of-Possible sessions, removing technical blockers, and highlighting Microsoft’s differentiation to secure deals and protect the install base.
• Craft scalable, secure, and modular architectures that align to customer’s enterprise strategy and technical roadmap while embedding security at every level.
• Maintain operational excellence with 100% deal hygiene – capture technical close plans and consumption plans in MSX for every opportunity, attach a partner to every qualified deal, and promptly escalate unresolved technical blockers.
• Continuously upskill to meet role expectations (achieve L200 consultative and L400 technical depth certifications) and contribute to team excellence by sharing at least one deal win/loss insight per quarter and engaging in regular coaching.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 5+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 5+ year(s) technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR 5+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience.

Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years solution or services sales experience.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong business and executive relationships.
• Strong grasp of sales cycles and strategic decision-making.
• Skilled in consultative selling and persuasive negotiation.
• Able to manage and optimize sales pipelines through informed change processes.

As a Solution Engineer in the Microsoft Innovation Hub, you will merge business and technical requirements to craft comprehensive solutions, working seamlessly with various stakeholders. You will conduct discovery sessions to understand customer needs and provide strategic recommendations and best practices tailored to their specific needs. Implementing robust AI transformation solutions and optimizing the integration of various technologies and services will be key aspects of your role. Additionally, you will leverage consultancy skills to foster collaboration among technical resources and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective teamwork. This role is Microsoft onsite only.

Responsibilities

• Delivering customer engagements: Prepare and deliver technical engagements including strategy sessions, envisioning workshops, architecture design sessions and rapid prototyping to demonstrate key capabilities, validate against identified risks and finalize technology choices. 

• AI Transformation Leadership: Be the trusted voice within the business and for customers on the latest AI platform and technology trends, guiding their transformation journeys. By prioritizing AI use cases through design thinking workshops, you will lead these journeys effectively. You will be a valued contributor to Microsoft’s strategy in your area, ensuring the Hub is proactively aligned with the right customers to drive real impact. 

• Strategic Vision and Planning: Own and execute a clear strategic vision for AI transformation initiatives on a set of targeted accounts, aligning with organizational goals and customer needs by collaborating and orchestrating cross-functional teams.   

• Solution Design and Architecture: Develop comprehensive solution architectures based on patterns and practices that are tied to customer requirements and ensure that solutions are scalable, secure and optimized for performance. By utilizing consultation skills, you will uncover and prioritize opportunities, ensuing solutions are addressing real customer needs. 

• Cross Platform Collaboration: Adopt a holistic approach to integrate capabilities across the entire cloud platform, identifying synergies and optimizing cross-platform integration. You will work with your peers and stakeholders to make the Innovation Hub the home of Cross Solution AI Transformation. 

• Technical Depth: Maintain and grow expertise in creating business value on top of the business applications including sales, services and marketing and Microsoft 365 platform, including deep knowledge of Microsoft Copilot to support AI transformation initiatives. Stay updated with the market trends and collaborate with the technical communities. 

• Technical Sales and Sales Leadership: Act as a strategic change agent within the business to shape Microsoft's programs and engineering offerings. Lead the creation of scalable, field-relevant assets through internal communities. Champion Hub engagement success by connecting technical capabilities to sales opportunities and serving as a trusted voice with sales leaders and account teams. 

Qualifications

Required (RQs) 

• 8+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience 
• OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 8+ years of experience 
• OR equivalent experience 

 Preferred Qualifications (PQs)  

• Enterprise Architect Experience: Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect, designing and implementing large-scale, complex solutions that align with business goals and technical requirements. Ability to integrate various technologies and platforms to create cohesive and scalable architectures. 

• Consultative Selling: Proven experience in a consultancy role, providing expert guidance and strategic recommendations to customers. Ability to navigate complex technical landscapes and deliver tailored solutions that meet specific customer needs. 

• Strategic & Structured Facilitator: Validated customer experience in requirements capture; prioritization; capturing evidence and impact to quantify business value; issue, risk and constraint identification with a focus on strategic goals and outcomes. 

• AI Solution Design Experience: Expertise in designing architectures, building, and deploying AI solutions with Microsoft 365, primarly Microsoft Copilot. Experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, adjacent technologies, architecture designs, migrations, and industry standards. Understanding of AI related Azure services. 

• Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines 

• Azure Certifications:  

1. AI-102 Azure AI Engineer Associate or ​ 

2. PL-600 Power Platform Solution Architect Expert  

3. or other domain-relevant certifications from different vendors 

• Design Thinking: Proven experience of delivering design thinking; ‘ideation’; or similar context analysis / problem framing.
