Supplier & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the key technical liaison between project stakeholders, suppliers, shipyards, and classification societies.

• Review vendor documentation and coordinate approvals and submissions.

• Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Harbour Acceptance Tests (HAT), commissioning activities, and troubleshooting.

• Coordinate installation and integration activities to ensure successful project execution.

Commercial & Project Support

• Support tender preparation, technical proposals, and quotation activities.

• Review technical specifications and identify project cost implications.

• Assist with technical clarifications, variation orders, and contract administration.

Site Supervision & Commissioning

• Attend shipyard meetings and project coordination sessions.

• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

• Coordinate mooring trials, harbour trials, and sea trials.

• Ensure successful vessel delivery and handover documentation.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate project records and document control systems.

• Prepare project progress reports and technical updates for management.

• Ensure proper archiving of engineering documentation and as-built drawings.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

• 2 years of experience in electrical engineering, design, drafting, or project execution.

• Experience within the Marine, Offshore, Oil & Gas, Shipbuilding, or related industries is essential.

• Knowledge of low-voltage power distribution systems and electrical engineering principles.

• Experience preparing singleline diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and equipment layouts.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and electrical drafting software.

• Familiarity with switchboards, motor control centres (MCC), distribution boards, and power distribution equipment.

About the role:

SMITECH is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support the planning, coordination, supervision and delivery of electrical and M&E works for a major infrastructure construction project in Singapore.

This role will work closely with the Project Manager, consultants, subcontractors, site teams and internal project stakeholders to ensure that electrical, ELV and related MEP installations are executed safely, correctly and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, statutory requirements and project standards.

This project role is to be based on site on a 5.5-day work week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager in the planning, coordination, execution and supervision of electrical and M&E works on site.
• Oversee electrical, ELV and related MEP interface works, including coordination with ACMV, fire protection, plumbing and sanitary systems where required.
• Review approved drawings, specifications, tender documents, contract requirements and authority requirements to identify technical risks, constructability issues and site constraints.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical issues, design clashes, RFIs and site coordination matters.
• Prepare, review and follow up on RFIs, technical clarifications, shop drawings, material submissions, ITPs, MSRA and method statements.
• Supervise site engineers, supervisors and subcontractors to ensure works are carried out according to project schedule, quality standards and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

• Strong experience in electrical and ELV works within construction, infrastructure, transport, utilities, airport, MRT/LTA-related, industrial or large-scale public-sector projects will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of electrical installation works, technical coordination, shop drawings, material submissions, ITPs, MSRA, RFIs and testing & commissioning procedures.

We are a start-up semiconductor equipment company with headquarter in Singapore, looking for a motivated and experienced Mechanical Engineer Singapore and travel to US when required. This person will have the opportunity to design and test mechanical components and submodules of new semiconductor manufacturing equipment. At this role, you will partner with senior engineers from brainstorming, concept and feasibility study, 3D modeling to part prototyping. You will also be frequently interfacing with suppliers to ensure smooth manufacturing of the parts.

A. Main Responsibilities

1. Cost Engineering & Contract Administration(Office/BIM)

• Client & Main-Con Progress Claims: Formulate, substantiate, and submit monthly progress claims and variation orders to the client/main contractor using quantity data extracted from the client's BIM model.
• Subcontractor Claim Verification: Review, measure, and verify monthly progress claims submitted by subcontractors against actual site progress and BIM records to prevent overpayment.
• Model-Based Measurement: Access and navigate the client-managed BIM platform to extract accurate material quantities, dimensions, and structural data for civil engineering works (e.g., earthworks, piling, drainage, concreting).
• Variation Management: Identify discrepancies between tender drawings, client BIM revisions, and actual site conditions to capture and track variation orders (VOs).

2. Site Engineering & Supervision (On-Site)

• Site Supervision & Quality Control: Assist the project manager in daily site operations, supervising workers and ensuring civil works are executed according to approved shop drawings and specifications.
• Progress Tracking: Monitor daily site progress, maintain accurate site diaries, and verify that physical milestones match the project schedule.
• Setting Out & Coordination: Coordinate with site surveyors and supervisors for setting out, structural inspections, and resolving immediate engineering issues on-site.
• Resource Planning & Procurement Assistance: Assist the project team in planning and managing site resource requirements, including the procurement and deployment of materials, manpower, machinery, and tools to ensure uninterrupted site progress.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all on-site activities strictly adhere to company safety policies, risk assessments, and environmental regulations.
