We are seeking a senior 3D Engineer to build and optimize next-generation automotive user experiences. In this role, you will be a core developer responsible for transforming complex spatial interaction concepts into high-performance, visually stunning real-time 3D interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
- 3D Feature Development: Lead the end-to-end development of core 3D features using Unity (C#), covering interaction logic, scene assembly, and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) implementation.
- Architectural Stewardship: Design and maintain scalable 3D scene architectures, data-driven prefab systems, and efficient asset management pipelines.
- Visual & Interaction Polish: Collaborate closely with designers to write custom shaders, create visual effects, and fine-tune animations, ensuring the HMI remains "butter smooth".
- Hardware Adaptation & Performance Tuning: Conduct performance bottleneck analysis and optimization for automotive embedded platforms (e.g., Android Automotive, Linux) to ensure real-time rendering excellence under hardware constraints.
- Sensor Data Visualization: Develop intuitive 3D visualization interfaces for real-time sensor data, including LiDAR point clouds, GPS, and vehicle telemetry.
- Rapid Prototyping: Iteratively build functional, interactive 3D proofs-of-concept to validate abstract product ideas at high velocity.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of professional 3D or game development experience (Unity engine preferred).
- Technical Proficiency:
- Core Engine: Deep expertise in Unity and C# programming; thorough understanding of URP (Universal Render Pipeline) or HDRP.
- Graphics Fundamentals: Strong mathematical foundation (linear algebra, vector geometry) and the ability to write/optimize custom shaders (HLSL/GLSL).
- Systems Design: Solid software engineering principles with the ability to design clean, modular, and maintainable code components.
- Debugging & Profiling: Proficient with performance profiling tools (Unity Profiler, Frame Debugger) to identify and resolve CPU/GPU bottlenecks.
- Communication: Excellent collaborative skills to work effectively across departments with product managers, designers, and embedded engineers. Fluent Chinese is required, enabling close collaboration with China-based teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Creative Engineering: Background in Technical Art or creative coding with a high standard for visual aesthetics.
- Automotive HMI Experience: Familiarity with the unique constraints, safety standards, and interaction principles of in-vehicle displays.
- Large-Scale Projects: Experience participating in large 3D simulations, digital twins, or AAA game titles.
