What You’ll Do

• Conduct literature reviews on multimodal persuasion, visual communication, and the evaluation of large vision-language models.
• Support the design and development of datasets and evaluation frameworks for understanding interactions between images and text.
• Assist in evaluating and enhancing multimodal models for analysing and generating interleaved image-text content
• Summarize experimental results and contribute to the preparation of research reports, presentations, and academic publications.

Who We’re Looking For

• Bachelor degree with background in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
• Strong interest in multimodal AI, vision-language models.
• Basic experience with Python and machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch is preferred.
• Familiarity with natural language processing, computer vision, or large language models is an advantage.
• Good analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

We are looking for a Research Assistant to conduct research on membrane and separation technology for desalination, resource recovery, and decarbonization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct membrane related projects for desalination, decarbonization, resource recovery, etc.

• Assist in the design, optimization, construction, commissioning and operation of membrane-based desalination and water reclamation pilot-scale and lab-scale systems.

• Assist in conducting membrane and separation process modelling, module-scale desalination system modelling, including conventional modelling and machine learning based modelling.

• Publish research data, prepare project progress reports.

• Assist in the preparation of grant proposals.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor degree from a reputable university in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, etc.

• Excellent report writing skill.

• Excellent oral presentation skill, multitasking skill.

• Relevant research experience on membrane technology and separation technologies.

• Relevant research experience on electrochemical processes and/or electrode synthesis.

• Relevant research experience in scaling up electrochemical water technology.

• Self-motivated and able to work on your own and in a team.

• Good interpersonal skills and communication skills.

Job Description:
Responsibilities for L&D:

Support in planning, communication and execution of training programmes, i.e. design EDM collaterals, setup classroom, communicate confirmation email, liaise with vendor on logistics and perform post-training administration tasks.

Support in the coordination of Learning Awards application exercise, i.e. consolidate the submissions, assist in reviewing the application forms, schedule panel interviews with candidates

Supporting the experiential activity at Onboarding Programme (JOB)

Monitor registration process of L&D corporate programmes

Liaise with GSS on invoicing matters and payment processing

Facilitate in the payment of internship allowance

Update and maintain the accuracy of data entry in the L&D dashboard

Assist in other administration of L&D projects and initiatives

Responsibilities for Employee Engagement:

Support, promote and help drive in the co-ordination of employee engagement programme

Coordinate event logistics (liaising with staff, vendors, creating promotional materials) and event day activities

Provide administrative support for HR functions and processes; staff wellness, process/work improvement review projects

Position Overview

A/P Chen Ying from Mathematics Department, National University of Singapore is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Research Assistant (Full-Time) to lead the end-to-end design and development of interactive systems for cutting-edge optimization and machine learning (ML) models. This role is pivotal in "translating" complex academic research into functional, high-fidelity web applications and interfaces. You will work at the intersection of applied software engineering, user-centered design, and AI systems.

Major Responsibilities
•    Full-Stack Development: Lead the design and implementation of intuitive UIs and robust backend architectures for ML models.
•    System Integration: Build and maintain data collection pipelines and experimental setups that bridge backend mathematical models with frontend interfaces.
•    Architecture & Scaling: Maintain clean, scalable codebases and assist in the deployment of research tools to cloud or edge environments.
•    Rapid Prototyping: Develop high-fidelity UI prototypes through iterative, user-centered design cycles.

Qualifications
