Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Assist in the development of professional education initiatives and peer learning opportunities
• Coordinate event logistics including invitations, registrations, materials and venue coordination
• Assist with preparation of presentations, briefing materials and post-event follow-up
• Act as the primary point of contact for insurers, legal firms, employers, and medical practitioners  in managing phone and email enquiries professionally and efficiently
• Monitor bookings to ensure timely delivery of reports and smooth case progression
• Coordinate educational forums, CPD events and webinars for medical specialists
• Liaise with specialist presenters to organise topics, presentations and logistics
• Troubleshoot scheduling or administrative issues and provide proactive solutions
• Maintain accurate records in internal systems and ensure data integrity and confidentiality
• Deliver a high standard of service that reflects mlcoa’s reputation for quality and professionalism

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner (who already has suitability as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Commission) you will make a real difference in the lives of people living with disability by helping them and those around them.  You will focus on enhancing quality of life, reducing behaviours of concern and promoting the rights of people with disability.

You will work as part of a team including practitioners, a team leader and clinical advisors, to support people with evidence-based practice along with developing your own knowledge, skills and experience.

You live in or very close to Penrith.

You will also benefit from the School of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), in partnership with the MedHealth Academy and University of Melbourne.

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner you will:

• Support our clients (NDIS participants), along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning
• Identify meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising The Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community
• Develop, deliver and evaluate evidence-based support plans within a complex support space
• Ensure individual plans reflect our clients' goals, passions and strengths
• Build the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support our clients - family, carers, friends, etc
