Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Scaffolding Engineer to join our team to support the design, planning, and supervision of scaffolding works for our projects. This full-time role involves working closely with key stakeholders such as senior engineers and contractors to deliver efficient, reliable, and timely project outcomes while ensuring compliance with industry safety regulations and standards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and regularly review key project deliverables, including layout drawings, technical plans, and calculation statements
Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
Oversee project sites to verify quality control and perform material checks during installation, maintenance, and dismantling works
Maintain site documentation, reports, and safety records
Coordinate and liaise with project managers, contractors, and site supervisors on project progress and workmanship
Provide technical guidance and solutions on-site

Job Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
• Relevant experience in construction engineering or project works preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) activities by compiling statistics and preparing monthly reports to inform management decisions
• Conduct comprehensive Safety Induction sessions for all new employees to ensure workplace safety awareness from day one
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations by managing ISO 45001 and BizSAFE audit processes to maintain certification standards
• Lead SHE awareness campaigns and coordinate efforts to achieve and support safety certifications and awards that enhance organizational safety culture
• Perform regular site inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions that mitigate risks and improve safety performance
• Collaborate with project teams on SHE matters and liaise effectively with clients and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and resolve safety issues
• Produce and distribute monthly Safety Bulletins and manage the allocation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to maintain workforce safety readiness
• Serve as the SGSecure representative and promote company-wide security awareness initiatives to strengthen organizational resilience
• Provide first aid and emergency support as required to respond promptly to workplace incidents and safeguard employee wellbeing
• Support projects by fulfilling the roles of Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) and Environmental Control Officer (ECO) as needed to uphold safety standards
• Develop and prepare SHE plans, procedures, and documentation to support project tendering and bidding processes with compliance assurance
• Identify training needs and coordinate safety training programs to close competency gaps and enhance employee safety skills
• Manage safety personnel and external vendors/subcontractors to ensure adherence to legal safety requirements and contractual obligations
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the SHE Management System across the company to embed safety best practices

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of safety experience in construction or project environments
• Ability to work comfortably on-site and manage audits and compliance activities

Construction / Project Engineer – Electrical & Fabrication

Job Purpose
The Construction / Project Engineer – Electrical & Fabrication is responsible for coordinating engineering deliverables, fabrication activities, and construction preparation to ensure efficient execution of electrical installation works. The role serves as the key interface between engineering, procurement, fabrication yards, and site construction teams to ensure electrical systems are delivered safely, on schedule, and in compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

HSE & Quality Integration 

• Ensure that construction and fabrication documents incorporate applicable HSE and Quality requirements. 
• Participate in safety reviews, risk assessments, and pre-job briefings. 
• Ensure Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspection checklists, and quality hold points are included in work packs. 
• Promote safe work practices in all electrical and fabrication activities. 

Construction Work Preparation 

• Translate engineering deliverables (drawings, specifications, method statements) into detailed construction work packs. 
• Define scope of work, required tools, manpower, and materials for electrical installation activities. 
• Prepare method statements and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) in coordination with HSE and Construction teams. 
• Ensure all prerequisites such as permits, access requirements, and lifting plans are in place prior to execution. 

Electrical Engineering Coordination 

• Review electrical engineering deliverables including single line diagrams, cable schedules, equipment layouts, and installation drawings to ensure readiness for construction. 
• Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve technical queries and ensure constructability of electrical systems. 
• Raise and track Technical Queries (TQs) and Requests for Information (RFIs). 
• Participate in design and constructability reviews. 

Fabrication & Installation Oversight 

• Monitor fabrication activities related to electrical equipment, cable trays, supports, and prefabricated assemblies. 
• Ensure fabrication and installation activities comply with project specifications and approved drawings. 
• Coordinate electrical installation activities including cable routing, termination, and equipment installation. 
• Support preparation for electrical testing and commissioning. 

Scheduling & Resource Planning 

• Develop detailed look-ahead schedules aligned with the Integrated Master Schedule. 
• Identify manpower, equipment, scaffolding, and material requirements. 
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. 
• Identify potential constraints and propose mitigation measures to prevent delays. 

Interface with Engineering & Procurement 

• Liaise with engineering teams to ensure design deliverables are construction-ready. 
• Coordinate with procurement to align equipment and material deliveries with construction and fabrication sequences. 
• Provide feedback on constructability during engineering design reviews. 

Coordination with Site & Yard Teams 

• Interface with Site Manager, Supervisors, and Foremen to ensure clarity of construction work packs. 
• Support construction teams by resolving technical issues during execution. 
• Coordinate with fabrication yards and vendors to monitor fabrication progress and quality compliance. 
• Ensure preparation of temporary works including scaffolding, lifting equipment, and site facilities. 

Reporting & Documentation 

• Maintain registers of work packs, method statements, RFIs, and permits issued. 
• Track construction preparation and fabrication progress. 
• Report readiness and progress updates to the Project Control Manager and Site Manager. 
• Contribute to lessons learned by capturing improvement opportunities. 

Special working conditions:

• Onshore site visits and extended working hours may be required during critical project phases. 
• Must be available for rapid deployment to project sites when operational issues arise.
