1. 7. Attend the dry docking of vessels as and when required to identify any gaps and implementing the desired improvements.
8. Inspection of the fleet vessels on a regular basis to identify the common defects and/ or areas for improvement. Conduct training of ship staff on key technical issues and for enhancing the safety culture onboard.
9. Keep the technical circulars/ recommendation/modification repository from the makers for Main engine, Auxiliary engines and Auxiliary boilers, updated on a regular basis.
10. Oversee fleet wide implementation of machinery modification/ updates/ supply.
11. Maintain contact with classification societies, shipyards, repair firms, industry groups, trade associations, equipment manufacturers and designers, government bodies and other organizations that may be helpful to carry out the assigned duties and responsibilities.
12. Assist the Corporate Compliance Manager (CCM) for implementation of the Engineering Requirements as required by Environmental Compliance Program standards.
13. Assist the Technical Superintendent/ Fleet Manager in any major break down till its rectification and completion of Root cause analysis and sharing lessons learnt on a monthly basis.

Requirements

• Degree in Naval Architecture from a recognized and reputable institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the maritime industry, with hands-on experience managing merchant vessels, preferably bulk carriers.

Job Purpose

The Electrical Designer is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and coordinating electrical design drawings and documents for M&E EPC and EPCM projects. • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity of all electrical design deliverables.
• Follow company drafting standards, templates, and procedures.
• Incorporate safety, sustainability, and maintainability considerations into design.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–6 years of experience in electrical design for M&E, EPC, or EPCM projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM/Revit, and electrical design/drafting software.
• Knowledge of local authority codes, international standards (IEC, IEEE, NFPA), and industry practices.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality in design work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
