Cleantech Solar is a leading provider of renewable energy to corporations in Southeast Asia (SEA) and India that owns and with more than 300 solar power plants in operation.

The Accounting Interns will support our finance functions for Singapore and other SEA entities in day-to-day accounting tasks. This internship will offer exposure to real-world accounting practices and provide a solid foundation for a career in finance or accounting. 

We are hiring 2 Accounting Interns with different job responsibilities. Please let us know which role are you applying for, A or B. We prefer someone who can start immediately.

A. Accounting Intern (6 Months)

• Assists with tracking capital expenditures and reconciliations.
• Supports month-end closing procedures including timely updates of balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries.
• Supports the financial audits and statutory filing documentation where required.
• Assists in finance data clean-up initiatives.
• Any other projects or duties as assigned
  

B. Accounting Intern (3 to 6 Months)

• · Supports month-end closing procedures including monthly financial reconciliations.
• · Assists with monthly balance sheet and profit or loss reconciliations and data clean-up.
• · Support statutory filing documentation where required.
• · Any other projects or duties as assigned

Requirements

• · Candidates is currently possessing or pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Account or equivalent
• · Knowledge of MS Office, IFRS, Companies Act and other regulatory requirements will be added advantage
• · Detail-oriented, meticulous, dependable and trustworthy
• · Ability to work well in a team and be able to deliver quality work within stipulated timeline
• · Excellent oral and written communications in English and great interpersonal skill

Our focus is on wholesale trading of crude oil and petrochemicals. We are currently looking for motivated interns to join our Risk Control and Business teams.

Job Scopes:

• Assist in conducting client due diligence (KYC) and credit assessments, gaining exposure to risk evaluation processes.
• Support the organization and analysis of trading data for commodities (e.g. crude oil, petrochemicals), and learn basic trading analytics.
• Assist in monitoring market and transaction risks (e.g. price fluctuations, counterparty risk) under guidance.
• Support trade execution processes, including documentation and contract tracking, and learn international trade practices.
• Conduct market research on industry trends, pricing and supply-demand dynamics.
• Assist the business team with client communication records and order follow-ups.
• Support the preparation of internal reports (risk reports, business analysis).
• Gain hands-on exposure to real business cases under supervision and perform any ad hoc duties assigned by superiors.

Job Requirements:

• Undergraduate or postgraduate student (any discipline; Finance, Economics, International Trade or Chemistry-related fields are a plus).
• Strong interest in commodities trading, risk management or financial markets, with a willingness to learn.
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail, proficient in Microsoft Excel and office tools, with good written and spoken English; Mandarin is a plus (to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders).

This internship will offer exposure to real-world accounting practices and provide a solid foundation for a career in finance or accounting.

• Supports internal audits and preparation of management reports where required by management.
• Assists with tracking capital expenditures and reconciliations.
• Support statutory filing documentation where required.
• Support finance process improvements and data clean-up initiatives.
• Any other projects or duties as assigned
