Renesas is seeking a highly skilled and autonomous Accounting & Tax Senior Manager cum Chief Accountant position. The Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of accounting and financial reporting activities. This role ensures compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), EPE regulations, tax laws, and internal corporate policies while supporting business operations and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting and Financial Control

• Manage and supervise daily accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, cost accounting, and inventory accounting
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with VAS and corporate reporting requirements
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to management and headquarters

Tax & Statutory Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with Vietnamese tax regulations (CIT, PIT, WHT, QDMTT)
• Prepare and review timely, monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings
• Act as the main contact with tax authorities, customs authorities, and internal/external auditors during inspections and audits

Reporting & Business Support

• Perform budget, forecast vs. actual analysis and variance reporting
• Provide accurate financial data to support management decision-making
• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with internal and global teams.
• Optimize accounting processes and ERP utilization to enhance efficiency and accuracy

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes. 

• Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy. 

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports, including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness. 

• Coordinating budgeting and planning processes. 

• Performing cost analyses and making recommendations to management to maximize profitability. 

• Supervising, training, and mentoring members of the accounting team. 

• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data security. 

• Liaising with external auditors and managing internal audits. 

• Keeping abreast of industry trends and changes in accounting laws and regulations and ensure that financial practices are in line with all statutory legislation and regulations. 

Requirements: 

• Diploma and above in Accounting, Finance, Economics and/or equivalent. 

• Proven work experience as an Accounting Manager or similar roles. 

• Strong knowledge of accounting practices and financial regulations. 

• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.). 

• Understanding of data analysis and forecasting. 

• Working knowledge of MS Office (especially excel) and accounting software (e.g. SAP). 

• Well-organized with ability in time management and ability to meet deadlines. 

• Problem-solving and attention to detail skills. 

• Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
