5. Compliance & Controls

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent; CPA / CA / ACCA.
• 7 - 9 years of relevant finance or accounting experience, including at least 1–2 years in a multi-entity or group finance environment.
• Solid working knowledge of IFRS; familiarity with consolidation accounting and intercompany treatment.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or equivalent) and strong Excel skills.
• Experience in a technology, SaaS, or subscription-based business is an advantage.
• Familiarity with transfer pricing concepts and intercompany service agreements.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HSE Manager to oversee the safety, health, security, and environmental management of our Singapore project. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing HSE policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving a strong safety culture across the site. 

Responsibilities 

• Oversee site-wide safety, security, health, and environmental management for the Singapore project.

• Develop the site HSE execution plan, establish HSE management procedures and measures, and supervise the effective implementation of safety requirements.

• Participate in subcontractor qualification audits and assessments of their team members.

• Deliver HSE training and awareness programs for project staff.

• Organize and lead site HSE meetings.

• Conduct periodic HSE inspections and behavioral observations, record non-compliances, communicate HSE expectations to project teams, and follow up on corrective actions.

• Work with construction engineers to develop and review safe work method statements for high-risk activities, and ensure proper implementation.

• Liaise with relevant authorities for inspections and other HSE-related matters.

• Coordinate with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers to ensure HSE compliance.

• Collect HSE records and reports regularly, monitor key performance indicators, and recommend improvement actions.

• Lead accident investigations, prepare detailed incident reports, and implement targeted corrective measures.

• Perform other duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Safety, Environment, Construction, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• At least 8 years of experience in construction site management, including at least 5 years in the pharmaceutical, chemical, or food industry; project experience in Singapore is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of safety management practices, with excellent communication and execution skills.

• Familiar with local laws and regulations related to safety, health, security, and environment.

• Knowledge of BizSAFE, ISO management systems, WSHMS, and GGBS.

• Strong decision-making ability and sound judgment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Possess a valid Singapore safety management qualification certificate.

• Able to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, subcontractors, or project teams when required.

Responsibilities
• Provides direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors designing and developing engineering solutions and coordinating projects for mechanical hardware, system & imaging development for A4 LaserJet products.
• Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.
• Expert in R&D Product Life Cycle development in Print and works with key stakeholders to secure commitments for the necessary resources to complete the planned activities in NPI programs and conduct the required reviews to ensure deliverables success.
• Communicates project status and escalates issues to direct managers, program managers, and internal and external development partners.
• Manages relationships with outsourced partners, suppliers and Canon Japan as strategic partner, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.
• Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities to support NPI cost structure.
• Spearheads research and development of new technologies and ensures that newly created processes, designs, and/or methodologies are incorporated within applied materials, as appropriate.

• Provides people-care management for assigned team members, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that proper knowledge and career development tools are in place to support ongoing team member and process development.

Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Hardware Engineering, Colour Science, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 8-10 years of hardware design/color science development experience and 3-5 years of management experience across Print hardware development lifecycle.
