1.  QMS Maintenance & Continuous Improvement

JOB MISSION

The Application Engineer Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management, training and development of Application Engineers who provide support for integration or technical projects.  Help manage the P/L (profit and loss) while ensuring all client and company business needs are met. 

DUTIES

·       Attend meetings with customers and Project Management team to analyze and determine customer system needs and provide recommendations.

·       Understand all customer commitments / contracts/ standards and ensure that all fulfilments are met to milestones and quality standards.

·       Ensure new hires are trained to comply with client standards/processes.

·       Work with the Design and Project Management team to engineer systems.  Take overall responsibility for estimating Application Engineering tasks during projects.

·       Create test plans, coordinate with commissioning team and test systems.

·       Create and set up the server OS, database, application, and services in line with the client’s requirements.

·       Configure the system to continue to run in an optimal state via regular archives, backups, and maintenance.

·       Work with the commissioning engineers to fully test and bring the system online.

·       Customize system to customers’ business model.

·       Work in compliance with the company’s Health and Safety standards and requirements—with the safety of self and others in mind at all time.

SECONDARY DUTIES

·       Troubleshoot system / security network related issues over the phone.

·       Train customers and technicians on proposed and installed systems.

·       Document and maintain system architecture and parameters based on customer standards.

·       Continue to investigate new technologies that can assist our customer base and increase our productivity.

·       Continue higher education in management or security industry to support management role.

·       Attend industry tradeshows as needed and maintain a professional working relationship with manufacturers.

MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Oversee Application Engineering team, and work together with Project Management team, to ensure client needs are met with minimal scheduling conflict.

·       Identify and plan for future hiring needs.

·       Responsible for initiating and participating in the hiring efforts for the Application Engineering team by alerting HR and Director of Professional Services of open positions.

·       Work with Director of Professional Services to ensure company strategic policy and technological consistency is achieved globally.

·       Mentor Application Engineers to enhance both technical & general business management skills. 

·       Empower Application Engineering team to keep up to date with current market developments and further their continuous professional development.

·       Continually improve quality and efficiency within the organization.

·       Schedule and coordinate Application Engineers for projects.

·       Responsible for approving timesheets, expense reports and leave applications.

·       Hold regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports.

·       Responsible for scheduling technology training as directed by the Director of Professional Services.

·       Review RFP, RFI, RFQ’s and provide feedback to ensure a successful proposal.

·       Work with various teams to develop a statement of work.

·       Review team-created project plans and identify deficiencies and corrective measures.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced AI Engineering Manager to take full ownership of the AI engineering team — both its people and its technical quality. You will build and lead the team: hiring, developing, and motivating engineers while ensuring reliable delivery. You will also be the technical gatekeeper: reviewing key technical designs, upholding engineering standards, and identifying technical risks. We are looking for an engineering leader who is technically strong, an effective people manager, and accountable for both delivery outcomes and technical quality.

What You Will Own

People & Team

• Recruit, onboard, and retain AI/ML engineers; own the hiring pipeline, define the technical hiring bar, and participate in technical interviews for key roles

• Run regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development plans; build a culture of feedback and growth

• Design team structure, levels, and progression paths as the team scales

Technical Oversight

• Review key technical proposals and architecture designs for feasibility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness

• Define and maintain the team’s engineering quality standards (code review norms, testing requirements, documentation, release processes)

• Identify and manage technical risk and technical debt; make sound trade-offs between delivery timelines and technical quality

• Track the evolution of the AIGC landscape (LLMs, diffusion models and video generation, game AI, model deployment, inference optimization) and judge when and whether to adopt new technologies

• Stay deeply engaged on critical technical problems — able to roll up your sleeves and contribute to solution design and troubleshooting when needed

Delivery & Process

• Own sprint planning, prioritization, and delivery commitments; be accountable for the team’s delivery outcomes

• Establish and continuously improve engineering processes (planning cadence, incident response, on-call, release management)

• Track and report team health, delivery metrics, and system quality metrics to leadership

Stakeholder & Resource Management

• Act as the primary interface between the AI team and other functions (product, sales, leadership); manage expectations and shield the team from churn

• Own the team’s budget, tooling, and vendor relationships (cloud, GPU/compute, ML platforms)

• Translate business priorities into a clear, executable technical roadmap for the team

What We Are Looking For

Must have

• 8+ years in software/ML engineering, including 3+ years managing engineering teams (hiring, performance management, and delivery ownership)

• Hands-on experience building and operating ML/AI production systems, with solid technical depth: able to independently review architecture designs, read critical code, and make well-grounded technology choices

• A systematic understanding of AI/ML engineering (model training and deployment, data pipelines, inference services, evaluation systems), with practical exposure to LLM or generative model applications (video/image generation)

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable presenting to executives and saying no with data

• Experience establishing or improving engineering processes and quality standards in small-to-mid-sized teams

Nice to have

• Experience scaling a team from <10 to 20+ engineers

• Zero-to-one delivery experience with AIGC/GenAI products (video generation, AI games, evaluation pipelines, inference cost management, model deployment)

• Familiarity with the Singapore / APAC tech hiring market

• Still hands-on today — able to contribute to prototyping or critical code reviews when necessary

• The team’s hiring plan is executed with a healthy pipeline and a consistently applied technical bar

• Delivery predictability improves measurably (e.g., sprint commitments met, fewer unplanned escalations)

Job Scope:

• Plan and schedule work sequences for construction operation.

Requirement:

• With A&A project or Building Contractor experience

Lead Technical Manager

• Working Days & Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6pm. Willing to commit for work outside working hours, if required.
• Location: Tiong Bahru, Commonwealth, Redhill Office at Outram Road
• Salary Range: basic up to $7000; transport $750 (car) or $400 (motorbike) or by reimbursement basis; HP by reimbursement basis

• The Lead Technical Manager will be responsible for managing a group of Technical Officer for security equipment installation, testing, commissioning and system programming in accordance to required standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the whole process of service cum maintenance workflow.
• Front line contact with client representatives on all service/maintenance related issues.
• Lead a team of service team members.
• Prepare service scope and develop service plans, define resource loading, skill requirements, tracking milestones and metrics.
• Determine new, creative ways to employ teams on service deliveries and distribute responsibilities.
• Manage day-to-day client interactions and expectations for optimal results
• Continually seek and capitalize upon opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
