KEY ROLES &RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with Sales to understand customer requirements and ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Project Engineers and Drafters to strengthen technical capability, customer engagement, and overall team performance.
• Provide direct engineering guidance and technical problem-solving support for Custom Solutions projects and liaise with customers to resolve issues and implement improvements for recurring concerns.
• Review and approve engineering documentation, technical deliverables, material requisitions, procurement requirements, and project-related records.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with the company Quality System, company policies, customer specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Act as the primary escalation point for technical, project, and customer-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and effective stakeholder communication.
• During periods of high workload or resource constraints, step in to perform engineering work directly to support delivery commitments and maintain operational effectiveness.
• Drive quality and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with QA/QC to strengthen engineering processes and deliver consistent outcomes.

Requirement

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Engineering, Custom Design or Project based work for Fluid System / Gas system / Vacuum system.
• Minimum 3 years of managerial and people management with good team leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of engineering project execution, engineering documentation, procurement processes, testing, and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage high severity incidents and high customer impact incidents focusing on fast recovery
• Champions production resilience and availability, focusing on superior client experience, by working with the operation team and technology development teams
• Drive the implementation of Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) and Chaos Engineering design for all strategic systems
• Drive effective communication between business and technology with regards to production service reliability and performance
• Drive continuous improvements in processes or systems leveraging Site Reliability Engineering methods
• Respond to, evaluate and analyze production incidents to minimize their impact as well as devise innovative solutions to prevent them in the future
• Improve the reliability and availability of systems by gathering hard data, designing systems for increased service reliability and performance
• Provide expert advice and training to our engineers as to which technology solutions and advanced reliability techniques to use on each situation
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisors

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Around 10+ years of relevant experience
• Experience driving major production incidents and organize incident retrospective meetings
• Experience with Core Java 8, Cloud Foundry and non-relational databases, and Linux, Unix systems
• Experience with high availability, high-scale, and performant systems
• Experience with python and Unix scripting
