Key Responsibilities:

The RF will support focused research activities at COLE. He/ She will assist the Principal Investigators (PIs) in the successful execution of the projects and will also be encouraged to introduce new ideas and projects. The roles of this position include:

• Design and conduct bioimaging experiments using optical, fluorescence, confocal, multiphoton, photoacoustic, or other advanced microscopy and imaging modalities

• Prepare and handle biological samples, including cells, tissues, organoids, or in vivo models, in accordance with biosafety and ethical protocols.

Key Responsibilities: 

The candidate will study theoretically forward and inverse uncertainty quantification problems for partial differential equations, and multiscale partial differential equations. The candidate will develop efficient numerical methods for solving the problems, and implement the numerical algorithms to verify the theoretical results. 

Job Requirements:

• Applicants should possess a PhD degree or have satisfied all the requirements for a PhD degree in Mathematics.

• Applicants should have deep knowledge in numerical analysis of partial differential equations, and should be competent at implementing complicated numerical algorithms.

Actual appointment grade will depend on candidate’s qualifications and experience.
