The ideal candidate will have experience in the role of quantity surveying matters from tender to completion.
Job Description
Manage and prepare the measurements and cost estimates for the construction projects from initial
calculations to the final accounts.
Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and, where appropriate, negotiate with the
contractors.
Prepare contract documents in accordance with the regulations.
Preparation of Monthly Progress claims, variation orders and payments to subcontractors
Involve in managing and reporting of project budget & cost control
Responsible in post-contracts administration for both the Main Contract and Subcontracts
Monitor all financial aspects of the projects to ensure projects run according to budget
Liaise and establish rapport with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects, developers and contractors on
certification of claims for payment
Be familiar with various stages of projects to source for the most viable yet reasonable priced materials
Able to share new perspectives on cost, orders and claims
With the understanding of the contractual legal rights, he/ she will be involved in advising the management
on their position of the contract from the tender stage
Requirements
Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building or Civil Engineering
Minimum 5 years working experience in tendering, estimating and measurement of quantities.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Candidates with knowledge in Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) Conditions of Contract, REDAS, FIDIC,
FIDIC Short Form of Contracts will be an added advantage
